Exclamation Paint.NET help

I just finished downloading Paint.NET, and I would like to know how to add outline to text. Can someone explain to me, and if I need to download special 'tools' to do so, may I have a link to where they can be SAFELY, free of charge be downloaded? Thanks in advance .

Yes, you need to download a 'plugin' for outlines.
You can download one here safely -> Oronjo > get your content
After it is done downloading, you need to unzip it to your PAINT.NET Effects folder, which is usually C:\program files\paint.net\effects .
Then, load PAINT.NET.
Add a new file, (450 x 150 is WI limit), and then, add a new layer.
Delete the layer called "Background", which is white.
You will then have a checkered background, meaning it is transparent.
Then add your text, colors, etc.
After your done adding text to whatever you'd like, go to Effects>Object>Outline Object.
Now, set the softness (I usually set it to 232 ), and the width. I usually do it around 5-7, but do NOT go over 10, or else it'll look.. weird.
Then, just choose the color of the outline.
