Default Expert graphic makers {GIMP} please help!

Hullo,

I make graphics using GIMP 2.6. However, my graphics are always very fuzzy...does anyone know how to improve the quality?

Also, when I make transparent signatures, the graphic always ends up with a black background when I use it.

Can anyone give me tips?

1.
May I see some examples?
You might have stretched a small picture to a bigger size?

2.
That's because either the size (length x width) is too big, or the KB size it too big. Or they are both too big.

Are you saving your graphics as a .png file? this while improve quality.
Also, the file size for your transparent signatures are too big, that is why they have black backgrounds. I suggest using the WI background color to make them transparent. Also save those as .png files instead of .gif for good quality and smaller file size.

Yes, I used .png :\ and I've been using the background color, but I would also like to be able to just use a transparent layer

Transparent signatures might be a bit difficult to have as a signature, since it can cause the KB size to increase. JPEG images are usually always fuzzy, unless you improve the quality while saving it.

.JPG can not handle transparency, so be sure to save it as a .png or .gif

Could you tell me what kind of graphics you're making?
Or post one of your graphics so I can actually see what you're talking about? xx

When you create a new image, fill it with the background color of Webkinz Insider (you can find a guide somewhere for it) and then do the text. That way it's a whole image and not just the text.

And for the fuzziness: Try the sharpen tool.
