No Bird Badge for Hummingbird Owners?

Several of our members who have Hummingbirds on their accounts have noticed an interesting glitch with the Badge feature on My Page.  The programming that determines whether or not an account should have the "Friend of Fowl" badge doesn't appear to be recognizing the Hummingbird as a bird.  Accounts that have a Hummingbird, and do not have any other birds, do not have the Bird Badge as an option on their My Pages.

 

UPDATE:  We have received reports that the same thing is happening with the Toucan and Phoenix.

Weird! As far as I know, a hummingbird is a bird.

Hmm, this is also simalar to the Toco Toucan (I'm pretty sure they are birds, too).
I only have a Toco Toucanfor a bird and I don't have the badge either.

Maybe they might fix this glitch, soon.

We have the same problem - no bird badge for the Hummingbird or the Toco Toucan. Our account with no birds but a bat as the only flying webkinz was, however, awarded the "Friend of Fowl" badge. It's strange.

Well i am glad to see that this became a headline. I suffer from the same problem. I only have a hummingbird on my account and I didn't receive the friend of fowl bagde either.

I have had the same problem since the start of badges but with the dolphin - no fish badge Do you think maybe you need two? Anyway, I'm sure they'll fix it sometime and compared to the great stuff they are creating on Webkinz - the PHOENIX!!!!!!!!! - I must admit I don't really care too much!!

I have the hummingbird as my only bird and I have the bird badge. I also only have the pink pony and got the horse badge. I had thought you needed more than 1 to get the badge, but that just blew my theory out of the water! lol

That stinks! I hope you guys get you badges! I have a parakeet, a cardinal, and another bird. So I guess I don't have to wory about it!

You know what I found out! You could get the friend of Fowl badge from adopting a penguin.
I also feel sorry for the people who have humming birds.

I had only the humming bird and I had no Fowl Badge. I recently adopted the Pelican and I got the badge

Ooops guess I lied. Just checked my badges. When I adopted the Pelican I got the pop up box saying I had the friend of fowl badge but I don't have it in My Page

well the phonex realy isn't a bird 'cause it's a mythical animal thats a mix between a lion and a eagle so realy it's no a bird

Well all I have is the Emperor Dragon and the Whimsy Dragon and I have the badge!?! then today I got the Phoenix.... so I hope thats helps... I hope they fix it so you can have your badge

I have a hummingbird, googles, and phoenix and no friend of the fowl badge. Since Googles is a duck, I think it should count too.

The concept of the mystical phoenix existed in many ancient cultures, most of which did consider it a bird, not half-lion.

Nope Stacy.P. just like I said in my first post I have the Emperor Dragon and the Whimsy Dragon
And I have the badge I have no more birds or anything that has wings or flys but to think about it the dragons don't fly they walk but anyway I just got the Phoenix yesterday and he flys so when I got my badge all I had were two dragons nothing else.

I have had that badge awhile...Got it from my parakeet quite awhile ago.
