Stadium Competitors Wonder About Missing Amateur Events

Over the past week we have been getting posts from our members here on Webkinz Insider who are wondering where the Amateur events in the Webkinz Stadium have gone. Since the big Stadium update early last month, Ganz had been running one Amateur competition per day. Last week the events suddenly stopped appearing. The last Amateur competition was held in the Stadium on Thursday, August 19th.

Several of our members have contacted Webkinz Customer Support to try to find out what is going on, but at this point, we don't have a clear answer. Most of the reps our members have spoken with said they would refer this problem to the Tech Department. As soon as more information is made available, we will bring it to you here.

Thanks FIA for the info. if it wasn't for WI, I don't know how we would get any information. It's very hard to get answers from [notranslate]Ganz[/notranslate]. I don't think they tell there customer reps. anything about that is going on. They won't let you speak to anyone else. Very frustrating.

Hopefully they get the glitch fixed soon. LOL I guess its a glitch.

I don't know WHAT they have done...Ever since they changed the stadium my pet (that had already earned the prizes for completeing levels 5 in cooking and grooming) now say n/a and she has to start over on level 1. I called regarding the problem and the man I spoke with said, "sorry, you'll have to start over, but I'll call you back next Tuesday regarding the missing recess buttons." I've not heard a peep from them, and it's been over a week.

I can only hope that whatever they are doing to fix the stadium (assuming this is why the amature thing was removed) will somehow fix my status in the academy.

Yes, I have been wondering about this too. I'm wondering if it's because they're making changes or they just wanted to put more open competitions in there for a while. Even the times are more varied now.

Also, maybe there wasn't enough amateur pets signing up so the time off gives more players a chance to take academy classes meet the requirements to compete.

I've also noticed it will offer to let me sign up for an upcoming competition but then when I click to try to enter it won't let me. I started looking further and found when my pacific time zone comes up during the competitions scheduled time it will offer, even though kinztime is 3 hours ahead. The stadium timing is confused somehow.

I hope this changes soon! I have been working as ahrd as I can to get my pets ready for the beauty pagents!! I can't wait to start them! c'mon [notranslate]ganz[/notranslate] get together!

I've been wondering that 2 i think a posted a thread asking What's up what the Amateur contest, but that was a long maybe even a year ago... I'm SO glad that someone is asking [notranslate]Ganz[/notranslate] about that!
