Webkinz Newz Peek-a-Newz Challenge Starts Today! *UPDATE*

 Webkinz Newz has announced that the Peek-a-newz challenge will be starting Today (July 27th) at 9:00am and will run until Wednesday at 8:59am.  Users must visit Webkinznewz.com, and try and locate the hidden Wacky Zingoz. Each user may only redeem one feature code, and must provide a valid eMail address for the code to be sent to.

To Begin playing, make sure you follow the instructions below:
 
  • Enable Pop-ups for Webkinznewz.com on your internet browser. Pop-ups are needed to see important Peek-a-newz messages.
  • Click the "Play Peek-a-newz" box above the "Recent Posts" section on the upper-left side of the Webkinz Newz homepage. There is no Login button.
  • Login with your Webkinz World username and password.
  • Click "Play" on the instructions screen to start the Peek-a-newz challenge.
 
If you need to leave the computer before completing the challenge, simply clear your cache and log back in to where you left off. The challenge will need to be completed before the Wednesday end time to earn a code.

Update (July 27th @ 9:23am):  Players have reported that the Peek-a-newz servers are down and they are unable to play. Webkinznewz.com updated their front page to confirm that the servers are having problems and will be up and running as soon as possible.
 
Update (July 27th @ 1:45pm): Players are now reporting that they are able to sign up to play Peek-a-newz, the hidden character has yet to be found and it appears there could be problems still with the site.
 
Update (July 27th @ 4:30pm ET):  Quote taken directly from the Webkinz Newz.  Info updated moments ago:  "The PEEK-A-NEWZ challenge is now working! The contest will remain open from 5:00PM Today until 4:59 tomorrow(17:00 PM July 27th – 16:59 PM July 28th EST)."
 
Update (July 27th @ 6:00pm ET):  We still haven't had any reports of any players finding Wacky.
 
The character players are looking for is Wacky Zingoz and the prize is a Dancing Zingoz (exclusive item).  Please visit our tracking thread found HERE to help find the hidden hosts, and let us know if you find one! Good luck.

Just wanted to let you know it's still not working. The site will not let you log in yet. I just got off the phone with webkinz and they are aware of the problem.

Please everyone remember that if you are enabling pop-ups do it for webkinznewz.com only or if you don't know how make sure you DISABLE the pop-ups when you are done playing. Pop-ups can hurt your computer from different sites.

They are having server problems. Figures! It's only a few minutes after 9am the official start time and they have already posted that they are having problems. Is there anything that Ganz has launched that didn't flop?

I'm getting "Our servers are not working" when I try to log in.

Also, the promised prize of a "dancing zingoz" is a little disappointing. I have a whole ton of those. Perhaps we can donate them to WI for future contest prizes?

BTW there is NO LOGIN button - you click on CLICK HERE TO PLAY which is above RECENT POSTS

(currently disabled but I was able to click on it initially (though I got a servers down error message).

Sigh - Ganz when will you learn to TEST this stuff under load first....

Howver everyone is right : they started a competition and aleardy have problem .
I tried to log in at 16:01 (romanian time ) 9:01 american and they sayd : anywais you know what
is annoying like the day before when we took a lot of time fint the carachter but the contest doesn't started

Frustrating that a promo that is only supossed to be running for one day and you can't even log into it. Where did it say that the prize was a dancing zingo? I hope the have other prizes as well . I too already have the zingo and it isn't that great.

Is that what the prize is? Ok...well, I am just going to wait until something better comes along. I Wacky is the only one that means they will have 4 more challenges like this. Arte, Amanda Panda, Miss Plumpy, Pollie Jean are yet to come. This is only the first round so to speak
