Changes in the Luck Dragon?

WebkinzInsider first told you about the Luck Dragon HERE at the begining of May. Thanks to ~Kiwi~ who found the new look in the Webkinz catalog, we can see a few changes that have been made to it.

In the catalog it called Luck Dragon and looks like this

Yet when you click on the Luck Dragon, the Good Luck Dragon images appear

We will have to wait to see if this eStore pet will actually have the new red look on it or not. Now we know the names of its Pet Specific Item: Fabled Fireplace and its Pet Specific Food: Whimsicle Wontons.

Hmm definitely like the older model. Hopefully that doesn't change. The red one kinda looks like a dragon ran into Clifford and this was the end product.

Oh no!!! I love the cream-and-pink version! I really hope they don't change it.

bwa ha! laughing - dragon rant into Clifford - so true, that's what it looks like.

There couldn't be issues with it being too similar to the one from the Neverending Story, could there? The new red one is hideous! I didn't have a desire for the luck dragon to begin with, but the new one certainly lost my interest completely.

Maybe they had to change it cause it looked too much like the one from "The Never Ending Story" due to copy rights....stuff.

that is disgusting! i hope it does not appear like that. unless they feared for copyright problems, i don't why they would do it

I have a gut feeling that Ganz was sued, or threatened to sue, by whoever holds the copyright to the Neverending Story movie. For those who are too young to have watched it, look up "Falkor" - and, of course, the movie's DVD comes strongly recommended.
