Zodiac Theme eStore Items Can Be Sent by KinzPost

webkinz cheats

Thank you to Webkinz Insider member T-Bone for alerting us to the fact that the items from the eStore's Zodiac Theme can be Traded and sent by KinzPost.  This is highly unusual and is most likely the result of a programming glitch.  According to the description in the eStore, "these items cannot be sold back to the W Shop, traded or sent via KinzPost".

Odds are that this glitch will be fixed as soon as the programmers at Ganz have a chance to get in and change the code.  Because of this, Webkinz Insider cautions players against attempting to arrange trades for these items.  It would be very easy to get an item "stuck" on the wrong account.

Re: Zodiac Theme eStore Items Can Be Sent by KinzPost

Wow, that would be kinda cool if I could get some, though

Re: Zodiac Theme eStore Items Can Be Sent by KinzPost

Re: Zodiac Theme eStore Items Can Be Sent by KinzPost

Hmm... Interesting..... Someone send me some Zodiac! LOL. I wish!

Re: Zodiac Theme eStore Items Can Be Sent by KinzPost

I wouldn't even risk it...... but thank for the infomation.....

Re: Zodiac Theme eStore Items Can Be Sent by KinzPost

Weeeird!?!

Re: Zodiac Theme eStore Items Can Be Sent by KinzPost

Wouldn't that be a great surprise in your KP

Re: Zodiac Theme eStore Items Can Be Sent by KinzPost

WOW....Thanks so much for the update..after first reading..was hoping that Ganz stopped that crazy ban of sending items...I just don't get it..after you purchase any product..isn't it yours to do whatever with??? What does it matter to them???? Same with any item received on any account....I absolutely hate the mailing restrictions.......Thought we paid for every item 10 times over..and I can't send an extra Zum sign to my daughter....That is just wrong!!

Re: Zodiac Theme eStore Items Can Be Sent by KinzPost

I agree with you. If all eStore items are limited to just your account, then why are the eStore pets PSI able to be traded and sent?

Re: Zodiac Theme eStore Items Can Be Sent by KinzPost

To me as a parent, this would not be a good idea. Kids would get tricked into trading away stuff that their parents have bought for junk, and then the parents would just turn around and be mad. I understand the trading the estore pet items because you still keep the pet on your account. I would not want to pay $8 for an estore bed and have a child trade it for some rare item or something from the Wshop. My opinion.

Re: Zodiac Theme eStore Items Can Be Sent by KinzPost

I agree, thanks Kenzielemur. But, before you complete a trade, a box pops up, asking you to confirm if you want to trade it or not.

Re: Zodiac Theme eStore Items Can Be Sent by KinzPost

How is a child going to know though? Are the parents sitting there watching the smaller children closely while they are doing this? It would be a fine idea if the trading room was like the kinz chat plus and you had to provide parent consent to trade anything. Then the parents know that something of value to them may get traded off, therefore if it happens it happens, and then ganz would not be held responsible for kids losing their estore stuff in a trade to someone.

But then again, most of us buy the estore stuff because we have a room in mind that its going to be in, and it wont even be taken in the trading room with us. lol. So it would be interesting to see if they ever made this an option and not just a glitch.

TYME will tell.

I've never understood how this is any different from children trading any other valuable item for junk? If that's the main concern then NO items should be kinz tradeable. I would much rather see my child trade away an $8 eStore item that can easily be replaced, than a real pet item that I'd have to go out and search for again and pay $15 to replace. Not to mention the valuable retired items or expensive rares that are much harder to come by than estore items.

I have seen many bad trades being made, often simply because the "child" wants one item over a more valuable item they have. Parents can't monitor those trades any closer than an estore item trade. I agree with those who feel that if we pay for it, it should be ours to with what we want. And if we have children that trade, simply make it clear which items they are not allowed to trade, the same way we would tell them not to trade a red lava or wacky jeans.

If parents are getting mad at their children for simply playing the way they want to, they really should get their own membership. Why put that temptation before them, then get mad when they made a deal THEY were happy with?

If you are worried that a child may trade something, then don't buy it, in my opinion. I would love to trade estore stuff, but I'd NEVER buy my kids stuff from there if I thought they had any possibility of trading it. They just wouldn't get it, period. I don't buy anything from the estore except for occasional pets or charms. I don't buy furniture or other decorative stuff simply because you can't trade it. If and when I get done with it or tired of it, I'm stuck with it on my account forever.

Re: Zodiac Theme eStore Items Can Be Sent by KinzPost

GREAT! That means I actually have a chance at getting that theme!

I agree with this 100%!

Kids don't value things the same way that adults do, but that doesn't make their value system wrong. If a parent is worried that their child will be scammed in a trade then they should monitor all trades made by the child. I am in favor of letting kids handle their own accounts in the way that they want. I know my nephew has sold things back to the Wshop that I would never sell, but it is his account not mine so he can do as he pleases. If a child makes a trade that they later regret, then they learn about the importance of making carefully thought out decisions over spur of the moment impulse buys.

I wonder if Ganz realizes that most of us would spend more at the estore if things could be traded, so that if we tire of something we are not stuck with it forever or if we want to spend money on an item specifically to trade for another item we don't have then we could.

Re: Zodiac Theme eStore Items Can Be Sent by KinzPost

That's pretty cool

Re: Zodiac Theme eStore Items Can Be Sent by KinzPost

OK... The only reason I would trade eStore is if the other person was trading eStore. Then it COULD be worth it. But some people might not know deals and trade eStore for WShop or something!!!!!!!! That's the downside of it all. It would be horrible to accidentally give something you paid REAL MONEY for away! SO.. now we know that we won't even TRY to risk it!!!! Keep those eStore items with you, not some stranger! (unless it was sent to a friend as a birthday gift or something....) But still!

Re: Zodiac Theme eStore Items Can Be Sent by KinzPost

WOW! THATS AWESOME

Re: Zodiac Theme eStore Items Can Be Sent by KinzPost

I think estore items should be able to be traded. If a parent is going to buy estore anything then they are probably willing to buy estore pets which come with some very special PSI's which can be traded. Some people get the pet more for the PSI than the pet so what's the difference. I personally am not willing to buy anything right now until I find out if they're going to reinstate the family deluxe plan. We all have to make are own choices.

Re: Zodiac Theme eStore Items Can Be Sent by KinzPost

Hmm thats odd! I would never risk such a thing, its never good to play around with glitches like these. Thanks for the info though and thanks T-Bone for telling us about it. That sure is weird...
