Renewal Glitch Reported With eStore Deluxe Memberships

If you signed up for a one month Deluxe Membership and received a notice that your membership is about to expire, you may want to wait a day or two before you process a renewal.  We are receiving widespread reports from members who, after being prompted by an e-mail to renew their accounts, have done so, only to have their memberships expire the very next day.  It appears that the original expiration date is overriding the renewal, and removing the Deluxe features from the accounts.  Thank you to WI member willkinskins for this picture from his account.  He received this letter via KinzPost after paying to renew his membership.
 
Anyone who has questions or concerns about their Webkinz Deluxe Membership can contact Ganz at 1-866-WEBKINZ (1-866-932-5469), Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm Eastern Standard Time.

UPDATE (Monday):  The following notice has been posted by Ganz on their Webkinz Newz site:

Recently an issue was discovered that was causing the accounts of members who had renewed their one-month Deluxe membership prior to their expiry date to expire despite the renewal.

We want to inform all of our members that we have located the issue and we are currently working on a fix. We expect this fix to take 2-3 days. This fix is of the highest priority. We have a record of all accounts that have been affected by this issue, and will be turning Deluxe membership back on for these members as soon as the fix has been completed. In the meantime we have turned off Deluxe expiry to prevent further issues.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

 

UPDATE (Tuesday):  Thank you to willkinskins and many other members for letting us know that the Deluxe features have been returned to their accounts.  Ganz appears to be hard at work on this problem.  Hopefully everyone will have their Deluxe account issues fully resolved soon.

That is even more annoying than not getting my May deluxe box! It's even worse than today when I had 10 wish tokens in the wish factory, added another & it said I had a total of one! I didn't get any item, either, but I went back later & I had credit for 11, thank goodness! Hope everything works out for willkinskins, too!

I'm so frustrated! They took my $15 yesterday but I have nothing to show for it. These kinks should have been ironed out before releasing. I at least feel better that I am not alone in this issue!

a day or two? LOL Oh, puleaze! They found out about the charm forest 'glitch' and had it fixed in a couple or so HOURS -- but they've done nothing about the days going in to a week with things like the jellybean game being messed up {on any accounts} or almost what two weeks for things like the quiz dart game being all messed up. They fix what they want when they want, if at all; if they fixed problems instead of spending time trying to shift the blame the site wouldn't have problems that have been going on for hours, days, weeks, months and even years. They would buy more servers, they would fix all the programming problems, they would get better programming, they would actually make it worth having to pay to access the site then still not being able to access all areas {charm, etcetera} without paying out even more and/or to have to buy a LOT of multiples to access to even stand a chance at getting something that's not total junk {woodland, zumwhere, etcetera}. I see this being fixed in about the same time frame at least as long as the HHH widespread fiasco, which was what 2 weeks plus? Oh or how about how long it took them to straighten up the jr site after they did the junk programming and shoved it on their too few overloaded bad servers on top of ww, newz and estore...oh, wait, they haven't fixed the Jr site have they. Huh, no surprise, though.

Got our Deluxe accounts on the 4th..waiting to see if our gifts are missing..so sorry to see the other memberships having problems as well..this had better get fixed soon..and with compensation for all of the trouble!!

I have three accounts and bought 1 Family account for all 3 and then I bought 1 month individual accounts for 2 of them (wanted a gold hat for each of them). The accounts I bought for the one month membership expired and they took away the deluxe activities even though they were listed on my 1 year family membership.

I hope they resolve this issue because I really don't want to spend any more money on memberships. I spend enough money in the estore - Just this week alone I bought 4 Griffins, 4 Emerald Labs and all the figures (3 sets). I buy one for my niece - and same thing I bought her a 1 month membership and then I bought another family membership and added her on that. I'm sure I am going to get a phone call in the morning as to what happened to her deluxe membership. I kept telling her all weekend that the box should be there on Monday and that it was just a glitch. I'm tired of telling her it is just a glitch.

That"s awful! I'm glad we bought the deluxe for the year, one less kink to worry about. I hipe Ganz works the kinks out soon and hopefully will do something to make it up to those affected.

i bought a deluxe mimbership family plain on five accounts for won year and was still turnrd off on my main account ! This is so webkinz i love webkinz just wish they cared more about the wones making them so rich ! Those people this happened to should get something extra for there trouble ! Good luck all ! I am sorry this happened to you all !
