Ganz eStore "New Opening", Special Sale April 2nd and 3rd

webkinz cheats

The Webkinz eStore is back up from it's extended maintenance and there are some big changes to report:

First, as we suspected, the "Webkinz eStore" has been renamed the "Ganz eStore", and the web address of the site has been changed.  To celebrate this change, Ganz is holding a special sale for the next two days, with different items available for purchase at different times.  For a complete list of items available for sale, including the new Playland Ball Pool, please check out the eStore listing:  https://www.ganzestore.com/product/71/131

Starting today, to shop at the eStore customers must first convert their dollars to "eStore points".  Points and dollars exchange at a rate of 10,000 points per $10.00 US, and they can be purchased in 10,000 increments.  Anyone who signs up for one of the Deluxe Memberships we told you about yesterday gets a certain about of extra points each month that can be used toward eStore purchases.  More details about the Deluxe Membership can be found at the eStore:  https://www.ganzestore.com/membershipcategory

And, as many of you have suspected, it looks like once the Webkinz Jr. website goes live, adoption codes will be available for purchase at the eStore.  According to the site, "Webkinz Jr Pet Codes are to be used in the Parent's Area on webkinzjr.com."  There is no word yet on what these "virtual only" Webkinz Jr. codes will cost.

I agree. This is kind of crazy that we now have to pay more than what the item we wanted cost. I do not think I am going to like this idea. So, if we buy a membership does that mean we first have to buy 50,000 points. Because if so that is an extra $5 right there. I am lucky when we can afford to buy an online item, but now to have to spend more than what we even want costs us. Oh well I guess maybe this is a sign telling us to move on and save money instead of to waste it. This points thing is a nice wake-up call for me. I guess it may help me to get my priorities straightened out.

I am starting to wonder if they don't like their own thing they designed, the trading room. It seems like they are just trying to get people to buy all their items at the e-store so that they will not trade anymore, because most e-store items can not be traded. The main reason a lot of people trade is to get super beds, now if you can just buy them at the e-store, what would be the purpose of trading. Who knows.

Hi all. I have thought over all of this again. I now feel much differently than I did earlier when I posted this. After reviewing what all of the membership benefits including e-store bonus points awarded to you monthly. I now have a positive opinion on this topic. I think this is going to be great and can not wait to buy an annual family membership.

Re: Ganz eStore "New Opening", Special Sale April 2nd and 3rd

I've been up for almost 2 hours, reading all the info on the Ganz site about the changes tot he estore and the points thing and all that. Then I came on here and read everything that everyone had to say about the deluxe membership and the estore.

I'm going to let you know how things worked BEFORE the estore changes for me and how they work AFTER the changes.

1st I just have to say: I don't have a normal credit card. In the past I've always purchased a gift Visa or Mastercard card. It's always worked in the past, no problems. I'm also Canadian so I have to pay tax and exchange on virtual items.

BEFORE:
Purchase $25 gift card Visa (or MC) (+ activation fee)
Go to eStore
Add 1 virtual pet for $12.50 and $5 item (or several charms) to cart
Fill out info
Total (incl. tax and exchange) comes to $23 plus change
Walk away very HAPPY with new virtual pet and charms YAY ME!

AFTER
Purchase $25 gift Visa (or MC) (+activation fee)
Go to GanzStore
Add 10,000 Ganz points to cart
Fill out info
Total (incl tax and exchange) comes to $13.38
Walk away very SAD with NO virtual pet

So now, for me to even buy 1 virtual pet, I need to buy a minimum $50 gift Visa. That will allow me to purchase 30,000 Ganz points.
This is an EXTREME inconvenience to me as I can usually afford the $25 card to get whatever virtual pet I want, but I cannot always afford the $50 card!!!! And what's worse, I sent hubby to get me a $50 gift Visa and he came back with 2 $25 ones instead - so while this totals the same $50, because it is split up and I am limited by the cards' limits - I can only purchase a total of 20,000 Ganz points and can only walk away with 1 virtual pet!!!!

Sometimes being Canadian ***** BIGTIME!!!

Ganz could easily fix this if they allowed for 5,000 points to be purchased, or have the blocks as 10,000, 15,000, 20,000, 25,000, etc....
Also, as a side note, I was considering a Deluxe Membership, but after taxes and exchange, it will cost me $60.16!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've supported the estore in the past, as I have 3 virtual pets and an assortment of charms and estore items.

I just don't know if it's worth it anymore....

Re: Ganz eStore "New Opening", Special Sale April 2nd and 3rd

I don't think I like the change to points. I feel like Ganz is trying to get mor of my money. Yes I know they are in the business to make money. I have purchased 3 e- store pets , a bed and charms for me and my 5 kids so we could play the games. Having to purchase in $10 at a time means that they hold on to my money with out intrest until spend it. If I want to but a 12.50 e-store pet it now costs me a min. of $21.00 with taxes and Ganz gets to hold on to my other 8.50 until I spend more money on points just to use up my account. AARGH.......

Does any know if the points expire after a certian time?

Re: Ganz eStore "New Opening", Special Sale April 2nd and 3rd

I'm so sad about this new system they have.....in order to "buy" an online pet you need to get the $20 level estore points......which for me would be about $24 CAD. I could buy like 2 webkinz for that amount. I'll definitely have to rethink my decision to get the yellow bunny when it is released

Re: Ganz eStore "New Opening", Special Sale April 2nd and 3rd

I had the same thoughts immediately like the rest of you. No longer can you just purchase 1 e-store pet. You have to spend $20 + tax instead of $12.50 like before. I personally don't buy e-store items but I have purchased the pets. But, I won't be doing that anymore. Even if I wanted 2 pets, it used to cost me $25, but now Ganz is requiring me to spend $30 + tax. I don't want to spend an extra $5 on items. This stinks!

Re: Ganz eStore "New Opening", Special Sale April 2nd and 3rd

BUYER BEWARE:

I just purchased the yearly family upgrade ($45) and although all accounts did get a wish token and yellow box, OUR ACCOUNTS DID NOT EXTEND FOR A YEAR! We still need to purchase one pet a year per account in order to keep our accounts active. If I had known this I would NOT have purchased this upgrade. Now we know...

Re: Ganz eStore "New Opening", Special Sale April 2nd and 3rd

Wow...I dont think I like the points thing either...I preferred going in, picking what I wanted, and purchasing that only. And the Deluxe membership I'm going to try very hard to skip. I dont see the advantages, and the few little "special" items arent worth paying that much money for. Thanks for the info on it not extending your account, that makes no sense at all.

Re: Ganz eStore "New Opening", Special Sale April 2nd and 3rd

Oh and I didnt see the playland ball pool for sale in their lists...

Re: Ganz eStore "New Opening", Special Sale April 2nd and 3rd

I heard that the Webkinz Jr online pet might cost as much as $25. Junior is double the price of Regular?

I talked to the owner at the store where I buy my Webkinz, and she said they weren't getting any Webinz Jr in because they were going to be sooo expensive. Around $18 US I think. So who knows how much the e-store will charge.

I'll still probably buy 1 (only) since the site sounds perfect for my girls and they are really excited about it.

Re: Ganz eStore "New Opening", Special Sale April 2nd and 3rd

You know, i wouldn't be having such a hard time dealing with this if I didn't want the Phoenix and Griffin so darned badly!!

If it weren't for those 2 pets, I could walk away from the estore and not look back (altho I'd miss the violetwing butterfly, I'd be willing to lose out on it).
But I am SUCH a HUGE Fantasy fan that I HAVE to HAVE those 2!!!

Re: Ganz eStore "New Opening", Special Sale April 2nd and 3rd

Wow! I don't think I like this idea at all. when I first heard about the points, i thought it might be a way to make it easier to buy if you don't have a credit card. this just complicates things so much more. i was hoping to be able to spend a little more money at the estore this summer when our finances pick up a bit but I can't afford to spend that much more! Phooey on you Ganz!

Re: Ganz eStore "New Opening", Special Sale April 2nd and 3rd

If you have points left over after your purchase do they stay on your account? For example, if you buy 10,000 points and buy an item for 7,000 points will the remaining 3,000 points stay on your account as a credit? If they do, then it might be worth it. If you look at the points for the items they have, it is still the same price. For another example, the e-pets are 12,500 points which equals $12.50. So you might spend a little more money initially to get the points but it will average out price wise if you get the keep the unused points.

I don't like the idea of them having certain sale times for certain items. Why can't they offer all of the items throughout the whole day?

The online Wekinz Jr. pets cost $25 (25000 points). There was an add in the estore that I clicked on and it took me to the blue puppy and that's what it costs. I think that might be the same price that you can find it in stores with the plush!!! The estore item only gives you the code. If Ganz doesn't have to have a plush manufactured and shipped, then why can't they give you a price break if you are only buying the code??

Thumbs down on points

Excellent point. I didn't like the points system as soon as I read about it. I've already sent an opinionated e-mail to Ganz via the link at the e-store. Yes, Ganz has a right to make money--that's how they stay in business and we (I mean our kids ) get to play on Webkinz. But IMO this seems like a corporate scheme to make more money. I don't like it and I'm not buying (literally) into it. And the online only pets were such a good idea for grownups who like to play on Webkinz but don't care as much about the stuffed animal.

My personal sidenote: I love wolves and sent a suggestion to Webkinz more than a year ago that they make a wolf Webkinz. When I saw a gray wolf was available at the e-store, I was thrilled. The only problem was I never caught the days it was on sale. Now there is this craziness with the points. The gray wolf was on sale this morning, I still missed it, and I wouldn't have used the points anyway!
