Zodiac Estore Pet Surprise Gifts begin to arrive! *Updated*

Previously WebkinzNewz had announced that players who have adopted one of the Zodiac pets would receive a special surprise gift.
 
A special thank you to Webkinz Insider Member Kinzmom1924 who was the first to report in about the gift.  The feature code will be delievered to the email from the purchase history attached to your estore account.  The special item is called the Star Crossed Chest!

 UPDATE - There is currently a glitch which affects some codes.  Instead of receiving the chest, the code is awarding 5 Spree Rolls.  If you have already used your code and had this glitch, the Estore needs to be contacted in a day or two to correct this problem.  If you still have a code that is not entered, you might want to wait to for a system update to take place before using your code.
UPDATE: As of 8:20pm KT, members have reported receiving replacement codes via email and receiving the chest. The new email will be titled Your Replacement Zodiac Surprise Gift...

Webkinz Pisces Fish Confirmed as March Zodiac Webkinz!

With this morning's ongoing update, we've been able to confirm that a new pet was added to the system -- the Webkinz Pisces Fish, March's Zodiac Pet! While Ganz threw us a curveball earlier in the year by releasing the Webkinz Scorpio Snake, when most of us were certain that we'd see a Webkinz Scorpion, the Pisces Fish is exactly what we were expecting!

This Zodiac Webkinz comes with the Underwater Archway as its Pet Specific Item and the Cosmic Coral Kabob as its Pet Specific Food. The Underwater Archway is an animated PSI which has bubbles that slowly form and rise out of the treasure chest in the middle of the archway, much like your fish tank at home!

Virtual Webkinz Capricorn GoatAstrology lovers will be happy to know that they can soon add the Capricorn Goat to their Zodiac Collection of virtual Webkinz.
 
Webkinz News has announced that the Capricorn Goat will be available on select days at the Ganz eStore, starting Wednesday Dec 8th, 2010, until Tuesday January 20th, 2011.
 
The Capricorn Goat is the Zodiac pet for December/January. Its Pet Specific Item is the Capricorn Window, and the Pet Special Food is the Capricorn on the Cob.

September 2010 Events in Webkinz World

It's nearly the first of the month, and a new month means new Webkinz World activities:
 
  • Pet of the Month Ribbons - On the 1st and 15th of every month, floating Pet of the Month Ribbons come to Webkinz World.  Click on a blue ribbon to get a chocolate version to feed to your pet.  (Note:  Some of you have been asking when the Caring Valley leaves we saw in January are going to return.  At this point we do not have any new information.)
  • Pet of the Month - A new month means a new Pet of the Month and special POTM activities.  Players who adopt new Webkinz Persian Cats during September will receive a special POTM Loot Bag.  Items from the "Nine Lives" video are currently for sale at the Ganz eStore.
  • Caring Valley Tree - Players entering feature codes off of green Caring Valley tags and planting the required number of saplings in September will receive a Sporty Spruce Tree to customize and place in their Webkinz' yards.
  • Zodiac Pet - The next eStore Zodiac pet is going to be the Libra Eagle.  According to the Webkinz Creative Director, "Libra=Scales.  Scales=Justice.  Eagle=Justice."  We don't yet know what this pet is going to look like, but we will bring you a picture as soon as it is available.
  • Deluxe Membership - Players who have signed up for Deluxe Memberships (not counting the $2/month version) will receive a Deluxe Gift Box in September containing a Dare Devil Jumpsuit.  Don't forget that a brand new Deluxe Membership option for families will debut at the eStore on the 31st of August.
  • Fall Fest - For the past two years, floating Fall leaves have come to Webkinz World in September.  (Three years ago they arrived in October.)  Will this festival be returning for 2010?  We'll have to wait and see.

Ganz announces Leo Lion Contest July 17th - 18th

Webkinz Newz has announced a new contest for the weekend of July 17th (12am EST) until July 18th 11:59pm
 
They're looking for the most creative Jungle Themed-room that includes the Jungle theme and the Galaxy theme. Any sized room is all right. They are looking for W-shop only items and retired items are also allowed. Clothing your pet is wearing will not be judged. Five winners will be chosen based on their creativity and the prize is one Leo Lion virtual eStore pet.
