*Update* Donkey Retirement Party Announced

Virtual Webkinz DonkeyWebkinz Newz has announced that this week we will be saying goodbye to our friend the Webkinz Donkey. On Saturday September 4th there will be a retirement party for owners of the Webkinz Donkey. Be sure to check the Activities schedule and participate. Everyone will be getting a special collectible retirement cupcake when they log in on Saturday morning.
Usually they have a virtual pet for sale in the eStore during the retirement, we will update you if this is occuring.

Ganz Announces Retirement Party for Webkinz Ferret *UPDATE*

Ganz has announced that they are officially retiring the Webkinz Ferret.  They are also holding a Retirement Party on Saturday, August 14th to honor this fuzzy pet.  On that day, Ferret owners will be able to participate in special activities, and all players will receive a special cupcake just for logging on.
 
The Ferret will also be for sale as a virtual-only pet at the Ganz eStore this weekend.
 
 
UPDATE:  Thank you to WI member SnowCrystal for letting us know that the special cupcake for the Ferret's Retirement Party is the "So Long Cupcake".  She just received one on her Asian account.

Triceratops Retirement Party Underway, but no sign of Cupcake *New Update*

The Triceratops Retirement extra events is underway on Asian and European accounts today, and North American account holders wlll soon have the opportunity to join in the fun.  However, what we are all wondering is, will the already Retired Triceratops Retirement Party include a Retirement Cupcake?

Update 1 August, 1am KT: According to the updated Webkinz World Front Page, only Triceratop Owners are to receive a Retirement Cupcake, although some owners have reported still not receiving theirs.  Published in Webkinz Newz, Ganz had announced that everyone would be receiving a Cupcake to celebrate this great pet, so we hope that Ganz will clear up the confusion if it is actually Triceratop Owners or all Webkinz World players who are supposed to receive a special cupcake.
 
 
Update 1 August 5:25pm KT American players are now receiving their R & R Cupcake, and European players have just over 1.5 hours to claim theirs, before the end of 1st August.  Unfortunately as it is 2nd August on Asian accounts, those players have missed out this time. 

Bubblegum Cheeky Cat Retires - Retirement Celebration July 18th

The latest Webkinz Pet to retire is the Bubblegum Cheeky Cat. Like previous retirements, if you own the Bubblegum Cheeky Cat you can participate in the celebration activities. As promised that the Soccer Challenge would return as part of an occassional thing, the Bubblegum Cat Owners will get that chance again!
  On the 18th there are:
9am-12pm: Retirement Celebration: Soccer Challenge
12pm -4pm Wheel of Wishes
 
UPDATE:  It appears that Ganz is NOT handing out Cupcakes for this Retirement Party.

Kangaroo Retires - Retirement Celebration July 10th

Ganz has announced that the Kangaroo is retiring and like Sea Otter, will be having that free collectible retirement cupcake for everyone on July 10th! If you own the Kangaroo, you will be able to participate in special events during the day.

Ganz Officially Retires Webkinz Weimaraner

Thank you to our friends at Ameriwade for alerting us to the fact that Ganz has officially retired the Webkinz Weimaraner.  This retirement was made official on Friday, February 26th.  Reports indicate that Ganz has no more plushies for retailers to order, so whatever inventory is in stock at stores is all there is left.  If you've been looking to pick up one of these adorable pups, don't delay.

Webkinz Officially Retires Triceratops

On the WebkinzNewz site, today, it was announced that the recently introduced Triceratops is being retired. As many of us know here, sometimes, Ganz makes just a short run of pets and when they are sold out, they are retired. It seems that this little fellow was quite popular and such is the case. If you have any stores near you with the Triceratops, I would say get this special one of a kind buddy now.

Ganz Officially Retires Lil Kinz Tiger

Thank you to our friends at Ameriwade (www.ameriwade.com) for alerting us to the fact that Ganz has officially retired the Lil Kinz Tiger. This plushie can still be ordered by retailers, so you should be able to pick them up for some time, but once they are gone, that is it.  The Webkinz (large) Tiger, has not been retired.

Webkinz Lava Dragon Officially Retired By Ganz!

Thanks to our retail partner at Ameriwade.Com, we can bring you the news that the Webkinz Lava Dragon, this year's seasonal pet for Halloween has been officially retired and marked "Sold Out" by Ganz! This means retailers will not get a re-order of this Webkinz.
 
 
If you haven't picked one up this year, make sure you grab the chance now, so you can have the Molten Magma Bed and Magical Magma Marshmallows. As we all know, the Webkinz Sherbet Bunny and Webkinz Love Puppy were both seasonal Webkinz that were retired, and are increasingly rare and more valuable!

Webkinz Tawny Pup Officially Retired

Ganz has announced that the Tawny Pup is now officially retired. If you have been waiting on purchasing this one, better check your local stores to see if they still have them in stock.

Since there is no Lil' Kinz Tawny Pup, the Pet Specific Item (PSI) for the Webkinz Tawny Pup, the Puppy Picnic Table, will become harder and harder to get, and its value on the WIGEV will continue to increase. Having just retired, the value increases to 6000 to 8000.
 
UPDATE: Robert from Ameriwade.Com has reported that the Tawny Pup is not only listed as "Retired" in the retailer console, but also as "Sold Out", so it appears that there will be no re-order for the Webkinz Tawny Pup. He has 4 left in stock, grab them while you can: Webkinz Tawny Pup (Large)
