Automotive and Superhero Themes Retire From W Shop!

In an unannounced move, Ganz has retired two Room Themes from the W Shop and moved them to the Curio Shop. They are the Automotive Theme (also called the Cars Theme) and the Super Hero Theme. Click on their names to see all the items in these two themes.
 
These themes will no longer be found in the W Shop. But our Webkinz Insider members will be relieved to know that Arte will still be selling the various items randomly, in his Curio Shop. They will be labelled Arte's Favorite, and their prices will fluctuate from 20% above the regular price, to as much as 40% off! Arte's stock changes every hour so watch for bargains!

Sweets N Treats Theme Retires From W Shop!

In a surprise move, Ganz has retired the Sweets N Treats Theme from the W Shop in Webkinz World, and moved it to the Curio Shop! Unlike other recent theme retirements, there was no advance warning of this move. The items are now appearing for sale in the Curio Shop on an irregular basis as Arte's Favorites, and at prices that vary from 20% over the W Shop price, to special sale prices as low as 40% from the original price. These items will now also appear in the Zum Challenges.
 
In the past when retiring a theme to the Curio Shop, Ganz has usually reserved one or two items that are completely removed from circulation and never available again. It remains to be seen which Sweets N Treats item, if any, will be retired forever.
 
On the other hand, one chair from this theme, the Be Mine Chair, is still available in the W Shop.
 
The Sweets N Treats Theme was first introduced to the W Shop in February 2007.

Plumpy's Big Thank You Event in Webkinz World!

 It's a rare day in Kinzville when we see Plumpy visiting the Trade Room in the Webkinz World Clubhouse, and that is just what we are going to see!
 
Starting today, when Webkinz Insider members visit the Trading Room, they should not be surprised to see this blushing bride-to-be dressed in her wedding finery and ready to trade! That's right! Plumpy is ready to trade some of Arte's prized Curio Shop rare Egyptian Theme items for anything at all that you wish to exchange with her! This is Plumpy's way of thanking fans for their assistance in choosing her wedding dress for her upcoming nuptials with Sir Charles Rhineholt. Visit Webkinz Newz every day to find out when Plumpy will be in the Trading Room that day! Remember, she will be attired in her Wedding Dress.

Plumpy will be in a Trading Room with her Precious Prizes today between 4-5pm and she's got Rare Egyptian items to trade! Have fun!

Earth Day is April 22nd and Webkinz Insider is holding a contest in honor of it.
Here's a tidbit:
Did you know that more than 20,000,000 Hershey's Kisses are wrapped each day, using 133 square miles of tinfoil? All that foil is recyclable, but not many people realize it. The garbage in a landfill stays for about 30 years.
For this contest, you may use an outdoor or treetop room. We want to see your best looking outdoor / treetop room that can be any kind of scene. This contest starts now and will end on April 22nd @ 10pm KT. Please use only Pet Specific Items, W shop or Curio Shop items (retired items are okay). No Click fest items are allowed. Entries must be posted on the Official Entry Thread, located HERE.

Are you a fan of the Halloween Theme from 2010? Then you are in luck because the Cursed Cradle made an appearance in the Curio Shop at 1am KT on September 15th. Though the Halloween Theme is not officially released in the W Shop yet, looks like Arte is ready to accept your sales in the mean time. Does this mean the Halloween Theme will soon be released for everyone to buy? If you can't wait for the W Shop to release it and want to know what other items he will be offering throughout the day, the  RARE Tracking thread will keep you updated. Make sure to haunt the Curio Shop this season, for cursedly spooky sales. Prices may be monstrously inflated as much as 20%, or wickedly reduced by as much as 40% off, isn't that scary, but fun? Arte will be the Jack 'o All Sales this spooky season with his head start. Enjoy the spooktacular season!

Neo-Gothic Theme Comes to Webkinz World

After last night's maintenance, we learned of a new theme coming to the Curio Shop; the Neo-Gothic Theme. This theme will be reasonably priced and is black and pink in color. To see this exquisite theme, one can see it HERE in the WIKI.
As pieces of this new theme become available, we will have them up top our forum page so that no one will miss them when they become available.
 
UPDATE: If you have been looking forward to this new theme then be sure to visit Arte today at 4PM to get the Neo Gothic Flat Screen TV. It is being offered for 1450 KC to Deluxe members only.

Pop Diva Welcome Mat Moved from wShop to Curio Shop

webkinz cheatsLast month, several new items for the Pop Diva Condo Theme were added to Webkinz World:  KinzCash Side Table, High Note Lamp, Top Record Place Setting, and Pop Diva Welcome Mat.  Although all four items were maked as Arte's Favorites, indicating that they could only be purchased in the Curio Shop, one of the items, the Pop Diva Welcome Mat, was also available for sale in the Decorations section of the wShop.
 
As of yesterday's site maintenance, the Pop Diva Welcome Mat can no longer be purchased in the wShop.  If you want to pick up this rug for your Webkinz house, you'll need to go shopping in the Curio Shop.  For help figuring out when Arte is going to have one of his special items for sale, check out the Curio Shop Tracking thread, HERE.

New SuperFan Theme and Pop Diva Theme Items *UPDATE*

webkinz cheatsThose of you decorating with the new SuperFan Theme should be pleased to hear that the second half of the theme has been added to the wShop.  Players can now purchase the Sleepy SuperFan Bed, Webkinz Nut Nightstand, Webkinz SuperFan Dresser, SuperFan Toy Shelf, SuperFan Toy Chest, and Webkinz Fanatic Floor Lamp.  Also available in the wShop is a new item from the Pop Diva Condo Theme, the Pop Diva Welcome Mat.   
 
UPDATE:  There appears to be a glitch affecting the Pop Diva Welcome Mat.  When Arte has it for sale in the Curio Shop, he has it marked as an "Arte's Favorite", which is supposed to mean that it is not for sale anywhere else.  However, the Pop Diva Welcome Mat can also be purchased in the wShop in the "Decorations" section.

In other Pop Diva news, Arte has added three new Curio Shop Only items to his collection, the KinzCash Side Table, High Note Lamp, and Top Record Place Setting.  When these items go up for sale, they are marked with an "Arte's Favorites" logo.  The rest of the Pop Diva Condo Theme can be purchased in the Ganz eStore.

Webkinz Hosts Post Cards and Gifts to Senders

Since discovering yesterday that we can add the hosts a few people have been diligently sending letters and gifts to them.
Now they have seen a return of letters as well as small items from the hosts of Webkinz World.
 
After sending 8 letters, you receive a Pen Pal Badge.
Thank you to Webkinz Insider Member Jenn, we can see what some of the gifts are. So far she has gotten letters back from some of the hosts and three gifts were included.
 
Why not help us keep track of what was sent and what was received.
