Caring Valley Enchanted Tree Error in Webkinz Newspaper

We have been getting a lot of reports today from members who are noticing a error in the Webkinz World newspaper.  The story says that the Haunted Hickory is the Enchanted Tree for November.  The Haunted Hickory is actually the tree for October.  At this point, we do not know the name of November's tree.
 
If you have a Caring Valley code to enter for this month, and you want to get the Haunted Hickory, you can go ahead and enter your code.  Despite the error in the newspaper, our members are reporting that the Haunted Hickory design process is working perfectly and that the trees look great!  Remember, it's the month in which you enter your code and plant your saplings that determines which tree you get, not the plushie the tag comes from.

Can it possible be October already?  It seems like the month of September has just flown by!  
 
  • Pet of the Month Ribbons - On the 1st and 15th of every month, floating Pet of the Month Ribbons come to Webkinz World.  Click on a blue ribbon and get a chocolate version to feed to your pet.
  • Pet of the Month - It's a new month, and there's a new Pet of the Month.  For October the POTM is the Webkinz (large) Golden Retriever.  Adopt a new Webkinz Golden Retriever any day in October to receive a special POTM Gift Bag.  All Webkinz Golden Retriever owners will be able to participate in special POTM activities.
  • Caring Valley Tree - There's a new tree coming to the Caring Valley.  Players entering the Caring Valley code off of specially tagged Webkinz, and planting the required number of saplings in October, will receive a Haunted Hickory tree that they can customize and display in their Webkinz' yards.
  • Birthstone Pet - The Opal Pup is the Birthstone Pet for the month of October.  This doggie will be available at the eStore every day in October.
  • Deluxe Membership Gifts - Those of you who have signed up for a Deluxe Membership will receive a new Deluxe Gift Box in October.  October's special clothing item is the Halloween Headpiece.  The "Halloween Headpiece" is very similar in design to the "Jack-o-Lantern Hat" from the 2006 Halloween Gift Bag.  Thank you to WI member Webkinz_Lovers for the picture of her Snakes.

Caring Valley October Tree

The Webkinz News site has given us a preview of the October's New Haunted Hickory Caring Valley Tree. It is definitely Hallowe'en based and shows one of the possible combinations that can be created with the seedling you plant in your Room.
 
To get a Haunted Hickory of your own you need to have a Caring Valley Code. Plant the four saplings  in the Caring Valley. When you have planted the final sapling, you will be given a seedling to plant in your room that gives you a Customizable tree.

New Glitch Affects Caring Valley Trees for September

We have been receiving reports from across our forum this week of a glitch affecting the Caring Valley trees for September.  As most of you know, players entering the feature codes off of special Caring Valley tags and planting the required number of saplings get one special tree that they can decorate and place in their yard online.  
 
For the month of September, the special tree is supposed to be the Fantastic Fruit Tree (the tree on the left).  Unfortunately we have been getting a lot of reports are that as soon as the Fantastic Fruit Trees are placed in a yard they turn into Delicious Deciduous trees (the tree on the right).  The Delicious Deciduous was the special tree for the month of July.  Some members have reported having the correct tree show up in their yards.  At this point, we are not certain why some accounts are affected and others aren't.
 
If you have created your Fantastic Fruit Tree and had it turn into a Delicious Deciduous, you may need to contact Ganz directly to get your tree sorted out.  Ganz can be contacted online at their Customer Support page or by telephone at 1-866-932-5469.

September 1st is just around the corner, and there are a lot of things scheduled to happen in Webkinz World on Tuesday:
 
  • Pet of the Month Ribbons - On the 1st and 15th of every month, floating Pet of the Month Ribbons come to Webkinz World.  Click on a blue ribbon to get a chocolate version to feed to your pet.
  • Pet of the Month - It's a new month, and there's a new Pet of the Month.  For September it's the Webkinz Leopard.  Adopt a new Leopard any day in September to receive a special POTM gift bag.  All Leopard owners will be able to participate in special POTM activities.
  • Deluxe Membership Gifts - Those of you who have signed up for a Deluxe Membership will receive a new Deluxe Gift Box in September.  September's special clothing item is Hypnotic Glasses.
  • Caring Valley Tree - There's a new tree coming to the Caring Valley.  Players entering the Caring Valley code off of specially tagged Caring Valley Webkinz, and planting the required number of saplings in September, will receive a Fantastic Fruit Tree that they can customize and display in their Webkinz' yards.
  • Birthstone Pet - The Sapphire Spaniel is scheduled to debut at the Webkinz eStore on Tuesday.  This new Birthstone Pet will be available at the eStore every day in September.  (Remember, the final day to purchase August's Birthstone Pet, the Peridot Dog, is Monday, August 31st.)
 
UPDATE:  Ganz has announced that the Sapphire Spaniel will not go on sale at the eStore at Midnight Eastern Time.  It will go on sale "later in the day" on Tuesday.

Caring Valley Tagged Pink Poodles Arrive for October

Ganz has announced that specially-tagged Caring Valley Pink Poodle Webkinz will start arriving at stores in October.  Remember, it's the code from the green Caring Valley tag that gives players access to the Caring Valley prizes, not the adoption of the Webkinz itself.

September's Caring Valley Tree: Fantastic Fruit Tree

Ganz has revealed that the Caring Valley Tree for the month of September is going to be the Fantastic Fruit Tree.  Here is a picture showing a blended combination of all of the different Fantstic Fruit Tree design options.  Each Caring Valley Tree comes with a choice of three different tops, trunks, and bases.  For more information on the Caring Valley feature in Webkinz World, please visit our Caring Valley Guide, located HERE.
 
Remember, to access the Caring Valley you must first enter the Caring Valley feature code off of a specially-tagged Webkinz pet.

  • Birthstone Pet - The Peridot Dog is scheduled to debut at the Webkinz eStore on Saturday.  This new Birthstone Pet will be available at the eStore every day in August.
  • Replica for Sale - For the first time ever, a Blue Dragster Replica will be for sale at the Ganz eStore.  This is the only time the Dragster will be for sale this year.  Remember, eStore Replicas cannot be traded or sent via KinzPost.

final day of the Wacky Zingoz Celebration in
Webkinz World and the final day to purchase
the Ruby Retriever at the Ganz eStore.
 

September's Caring Valley Featured Pet Confirmed: the Webkinz Pinto

Today Ganz confirmed the news we brought to you on Tuesday that the Caring Valley featured pet for the month of September is the Webkinz Pinto.  These double-tagged Webkinz should start appearing at retailers near the end of August.  
 
Remember, it's the code from the green Caring Valley tag that gives players access to the Caring Valley prizes, not the adoption of the Webkinz itself.

WI Members Report Faulty Webkinz Caring Valley Tags

Lately in our Webkinz Insider forum, we've seen scattered reports of members receiving Caring Valley tags with unusable sample codes on them.  As these reports have increased and we now have images of the faulty codes, we solicited Ganz for information on what these users should do to get new, working codes.
 
Faulty Caring Valley Code
 
If you receive one of the faulty Caring Valley tags, which will contain the word "SAMPLE" plus a number after it, you should mail the tag directly to Ganz at the following address:

Simply include the tag, the store purchased at, and an email address at which Ganz can send the new code.
 
According to Ganz, these tags are part of the quality assurance program and appropriate parties have been notified of the issue.
