Fans of the Series 2 Trading Cards will love this contest! The Webkinz Parent Club in Webkinz Newz will be running this contest starting on Nov 12, 2011 and ending on Dec 3 at 11:59pm.
 
All you have to do to enter this contest, is to click on the ad (similar to the one displayed above) in the Parent Club section of Webkinz Newz, fill in the required fields and a prize from the Gamers Garden collection will be deposited in your account. As usual this is one prize per account per day, distributed randomly. Some prizes will be more rare than others, but all these pieces are gorgeous! Prizes will include the Deck of Stone Bench, Deck of Stone Dining Table, Divine Dresser, Gamers Garden Glass Side Table, Playing Deck Chair, Shrubbery Sleeper Bed, Topiary of Clubs, Topiary of Diamonds, Topiary of Hearts, Topiary of Spades and Two Suits Deck Chair.

Hard to Get Virtual Trading Cards Being Awarded when Opening Packs in Webkinz World

Thank you to Webkinz Insider Member miss spots for bringing to our attention some interesting virtual trading card pack information.  It appears that when members are opening virtual trading card packs from Series 1 & 2 in their Webkinz World rooms that the "Webkinz Doodlez" and "At Paw Level" cards are being awarded very frequently allowing members to finally collect them all and unlock the prizes that go along with them. The "Webkinz Doodlez" and "At Paw Level" cards were previously very rare and very seldomly awarded.  Once all 8 of the "Webkinz Doodlez" cards from Series 1 are collected the Kinzville Sketched Window is awarded and once all 8 of the "At Paw Level" cards from Series 2 are collected the At Paw Level Display Screen prize is awarded.  If you have some unused trading cards sitting in your dock today might be the best day to use them to finally complete your trading card collection!

Many Players Reporting Problems with Trading Card Feature Codes

webkinz cheatsFor about the past week, we have been getting reports from members here on Webkinz Insider that they have been having problems with their Series 1 Trading Cards.  Some players are getting unexpected errors when entering the feature codes on the cards.  The error says that the prize is an "Feature is Invalid - Theme AB: 28".  
 
Based on the conversations our members have had with the support staff at Ganz, it appears that the Webkinz programmers are aware of the problem and are working on it.  One player was told this afternoon to hold onto the codes and try them again "in about three days".  
 
Some members are speculating that the feature codes with problems had been programmed to award items from the recently retired Kooky Scientist Theme. 
 
UPDATE:  It appears that some Series 2 Trading Card codes have also been affected by this glitch.

New Trading Card Album Code Awards Series 3 Trading Card Pedestal

The new Trading Card Albums have arrived in stores.  Thank you to Webkinz Insider member jessicabarnhart for sharing pictures with us of the prize she received from entering the feature code: a new Series 3 Trading Cards Pedestal.  This pedestal is an interactive item that can be used to track your Trading Card collection.  Clicking on the Pedestal opens a "Collector's Book" in which you can view pictures of the Series 3 cards, check off the cards you have, check off the cards you want, and print a copy of your "wish list".

There are now five different Trading Card pedestals in Webkinz World.  They are:
 
  • Series 1 Trading Cards Pedestal (Original Trading Card Album Code Prize)
  • Series 2 Trading Cards Pedestal (Original Trading Card Album Code Prize)

Possible New Webkinz Discovered on Trading Card

Thank you to Webkinz Insider member thecarters05 for providing us with a clear picture of what has come to be know as the "Brown Yorkie" sticker from the Series 4 Trading Cards.  Is this sticker an indication that Ganz is planning on releasing a Brown Yorkie, or is this just a more accurate picture of what a Webkinz Yorkie should look like? As many of our members pointed out back when the Webkinz (white) Yorkie was originally released, there is no such thing as a pure-bred "White Yorkie" and the animal released by Ganz looks more like a Maltese.   If/when Ganz releases any information, we will let you know.

Possible New Webkinz Discovered on Trading Card -- Blue Googles!

Thank you to Webkinz Insider member dana0921 for sharing this picture with us.  It's from the back of a Series 4 Trading Card.  Could this be a previously unannounced Blue Googles?  At this point we just don't know.  Unlike the card with the Walrus we showed you a few days ago, this card does not have any description.

Webkinz Insider Member Adopts Mystical Panda!

Users have reported finding the Series 4 Trading Cards in various places in the US and Canada. We've just received word that one of the members of our Webkinz Forum, ar1nb, is the first WI member to find and activate the Mystical Panda!

 

For those that aren't aware, the Mystical Panda is a "Series 4 Trading Card Only" pet that has odds of 1 in 360 packs! The Mystical Panda, along with the Magical Retriever from Series 3, are some of the rarest Webkinz in Webkinz World!

 

Here's some pictures that ar1nb provided to us for everyone to enjoy.  The Mystical Panda comes with the Sun's Embrace Bed and the PSF is Star Shimmer Sippers.  Congratulations to ar1nb on such a lucky find, as they only purchased 6 packs of cards!

Series 4 Trading Cards Reveals Webkinz Walrus

Yesterday we reported to you that the new Series 4 Webkinz Trading Cards has one category of card called "Newest Arrivals".  Today we can report to you that one of those "Newest Arrivals" is an animal that hasn't yet arrived:  a Walrus.  This is the very first time any information has been released by Ganz regarding a Walrus, so we can't yet tell you when it will be for sale.  As soon as we get a hold of any confirmed information, we will bring it to you.
