Acorn Event Running all through September

It's that time again!! It's September and it's time to gather those Acorns for the long winter ahead! Every day in September we will be collecting acorns from our friends. Go to your Kinzville map and grab that Free Acorn FIRST (Two if you are Deluxe) then request from your friends. You will be able to get 5 more from your friends and also there is one floating around Webkinz Newz. There is no limit on the turns you take getting the items, just make sure you give yourself enough time to finish the collection. There are some really nice items this year. Webkinz Game Grand Grotto released

Previously we released some news about a game that our pets were asking for but didn't seem to exist; Grand Grotto. We are pleased to announce that Webkinz has released this game for play in the arcade. However, it is a Deluxe only game. It can be accessed through the web and Desktop app versions, only at this time. The idea behind the game is to get the water flowing through 50 levels by breaking gems and when you get to the end you win a Trophy. After you have finished the game, you can go back through and play any level you wish, again. There is only one trophy per account and it is not a Kinzpostable item. So you can take your time earning it.
 

Super School Giveaway starts August 26 - September 20

Updates to Webkinz User Agreement

About 5 months ago, in March, Ganz amended their user agreement and told us that we would only have 6 months to log into a lapsed account and then it would no longer be accessible. That 6 months is coming up within the next few weeks. They would like to keep their users informed and current, so they have reposted their user agreement, complete with some warnings about misuse of their virtual products. "The User Agreement now also explicitly forbids the sale or trade of any and all virtual items, with the exception of the trading of items for items through the in-game system. Virtual items may not be sold for cash, traded for eStore points, or traded for any equivalent service or consideration. Accounts violating these terms may be permanently banned." Webkinz Pets hint New Game Coming Soon

We have been seeing numerous reports from many of our members regarding Pet Requests. The most recent report came from WI Member Queen Of Sheba that her pet wished to play a game in the arcade called Grand Grotto. Now that Webkinz Newz has revealed that this is an upcoming game that will be playable across all three venues ( Desktop, Mobile and Web Version) We can bring you some more news about it. This will be a puzzle game with 50 levels that you unlock. The first time you complete the 50 Levels you will be awarded a Grand Grotto Trophy. We will update as soon as we have more information.

UPDATED: Webkinz Friends and Tail Town Friends Applications to shut down on August 31st 2014

Ganz has announced that the Webkinz Friends and Tail Towns Friends Applications will be shutting down on August 31st, 2014.  This closure will affect both the Facebook and iPad versions of the game. While the application was popular with Webkinz Insider members, the application never found a large audience on Facebook or through the App store. Due to the lack of audience the development team experienced limitations in their "ability to add new content and give the game the attention it deserved."
 
As of Today (July 29th, 2014), Webkinz Friends & Tail Town Friends will no longer allow new players to sign up to play via Facebook or the App store.  All payments have also been suspended due to the pending shut down.  Current players, however, will be able to play as much as they desire as the energy requirements will be removed from the game. The prizes exclusive to Webkinz Friends will be added in due time to Webkinz World, to ensure that all members have the opportunity to enjoy them.
 
UPDATE (August 2nd @ 9:30am KT):  We have received multiple reports of  ads and news articles within Webkinz World directing members to the Webkinz Friends application.  The ad featured on the left instructs WI member FIA to hold on to their pet's secret code in order to participate in Webkinz Friends.  Members have also reported seeing daily News updates in Webkinz World mentioning exclusive prizes to be earned on Webkinz Friends.
 
While it may appear that GANZ is promoting the Webkinz Friends iPad app to members, we have no way to confirm that the application's shelf life will be extended in any way.
 
 At this moment in time we can only reiterate that, based on the previous update provided by GANZ, the Webkinz Friends application will be shut down at the end of this month.

Webkinz Insider Member Finds New App Preview

 Thanks to Webkinz Insider member Denimbutterfly, we have received an interesting preview of the next iOS app coming to Apple's iTunes store! The image below was taken at the brand new "App Station" found at the Webkinz Road Trip 2012.
 
 
When Denimbutterfly asked about the image and if the Tour Guide could confirm the "coming soon" label, they said i was coming soon and to share it with their webkinz friends!  The description of the App reads: "Bounce off the platforms on screen, flying higher and higher into the sky! Can you hop your rocket ship all the way to the moon?"
 
The exact date of the App's release is unknown, but hopefully it will hit the stores sooner than later. Stay tuned to Webkinzinsider.com for all the details.
