Webkinz is continuing its new monthly retirement celebrations with the retirement of the Webkinz Husky. Husky owners will be able to participate in weekly activities, including the counting sailboats game to earn special items. Webkinz Panda Plush to Retire in September

This summer, Webkinz members witnessed a large amount of Webkinz Pet retirements by Ganz. The large retirement event were introduced in order to update the large catalog of current Webkinz. Following the multiple retirements, Webkinz Newz announced that it would be retiring a new pet each month as opposed to retiring a pet each week.

Webkinz Newz has now announced that the Panda will be the first pet to retire during this new program. Webkinz members who adopt this pet in September, or who current own the Panda, will have the opportunity to play Counting Sailboats every sunday in order to earn exclusive items. On the last Sunday of the month, members will also earn a special retirement box with an exclusive item (the contents of this box is to be announced on September 8th by Webkinz Newz).

If you are looking to adopt the beloved Webkinz Panda, it would be wise to purchase one soon! This Webkinz is very popular, and will not be around for very long. Scottish Terrier Retires on April 13th, 2014

It is time to bid farewell to the Scottish Terrier, Webkinz World's latest pet to retire. The Scottish Terrier has officially sold out from the Ganz Warehouse and no more will ever be made. A celebration is planned for this weekend! On Saturday, April 12th, 2014 all Scottish Terrier owners will be able to visit Todays's Activities and participate in a game of Count the Sailboats. On Sunday, April 14th, 2014 Scottish Terrier owners will receive a FREE Highland Kilt!

The PSI for the Scottish Terrier is Bagpipers Trampoline and the PSF is Mince and Tatties. The Scottish Terrier was first introduced to Webkinz World in June of 2011.

Lynx Retires on Sunday March 9th, 2014

The Webkinz Lynx has officially sold out and Ganz has announced that no more will ever be made. The Lynx was originally released in August 2011 and featured the Relaxing Rocky Sauna for it's PSI and the Rocky Rib Rack as a PSF.

If you are lucky enough to own this pet then you are in for a treat this weekend at the Lynx's retirement party. On Saturday, March 8th, Lynx owners can visit Todays Activities and enjoy a game of Count the Sailboats and on Sunday, March 9th, 2014 all Lynx pet owners will receive a FREE Rocky Side Table.

Barred Owl retires on Sunday, March 2nd, 2014

It is official, the Ganz Warehouse is all out of Barred Owls. If you already have this large owl with the distinctive call then do not miss all the fun this weekend. Yes, Ganz is throwing a retirement party.

Owners of the Barred Owl, first introduced to Webkinz World in August 2010, will be able to participate in the Count The Sailboats game on Saturday, March 1st, 2014 and on Sunday, March 2nd, 2014 all Barred Owl pet owners will receive a special prize.

Ice Dragon Retires February 2nd!

Do you have an Ice Dragon on your Webkinz World account? This cute plush regular-sized Webkinz pet came out in December 2010 and it will be retiring next weekend. There has been a once-weekly pet retirement now since July 27 2013. You can read about it by clicking HERE.

The retirement weekend in question is Saturday February 1st and Sunday February 2nd, 2014.

A Retirement Party will be held on those dates, including a Count the Sailboats Game on the Saturday and some other special activity for owners of the Ice Dragon on the Sunday.

Baby Penguin Retires on January 26! UPDATE

Webkinz Insider members with Asian accounts are already seeing this announcement on login to their Webkinz World accounts. The Baby Penguin will be the next pet to retire. The weekend in question, is the Saturday January 25 and Sunday January 26, 2014.

A Retirement Party will be held on those dates, including a Count the Sailboats Game on the Saturday and another activity for owners of the Baby Penguin on the Sunday. The Baby Penguin is a regular-sized plush pet released in December 2009. You can see our Penguin Collection by clicking HERE.

A Retirement Party will be held on those dates, including a Count the Sailboats Game on the Saturday and another activity for owners of the Winter Fawn on the Sunday. The Winter Fawn is a regular-sized plush pet released in October 2011. It is a Seasonal Winter pet.

If you want to acquire this pet in time for the party, remember our partner store Ameriwade. A virtual-only version of this pet should also be available this week in the Ganz eStore.

UPDATE: On Sunday Jan 19, owners of the Winter Fawn were given the Winter Jellybean Pile instead of the more desirable Winter Jar of Jellybean. Webkinz Newz has announced that this event will be repeated on February 9, 2014. If you own a Winter Fawn, make sure to log in on that day to receive your Winter Jar of Jellybean!

Emperor Dragon Retirement Event Rescheduled for January 26!

Owners of the retiring Emperor Dragon were disappointed this past Sunday (Jan 5), when their Retirement event was mistakenly programmed for the Pet Of The Month instead (the Arctic Polar Bear). They were unable to receive the retirement prize of the Alyssa House Tapestry.

But all is well. Thanks to DragonforceFan3 for letting us know that Ganz will reschedule this event for Sunday January 26, 2014.

Snow Leopard Retires on January 12!

The next pet to retire will be the Snow Leopard.

The retirement weekend in question is Saturday January 11 and Sunday January 12 2014.

A Retirement Party will be held on those dates, including a Count the Sailboats Game on the Saturday and some other special activity for owners of the Snow Leopard on the Sunday.

The Snow Leopard is regular-sized plush Webkinz, first released in November 2010. Be very careful not to confuse him with the Signature Snow Leopard released this past summer in August 2013! There are eight other leopards: the Icy Mist Leopard, the Rockerz Leopard, the Endangered Clouded Leopard, the Candy Leopard, the Strawberry Cloud Leopard, the Spotted Leopard and the two who started the leopard trend: the plain old Leopard, of which there are two sizes: the regular Webkinz Leopard from Jan 2007 and the Lil' Kinz Leopard from Feb 2008.
