Yesterday afternoon, Ganz announced 9 new plush Webkinz for January 2012 and gave us images of each plush. With this morning's update, Webkinz Insider can show you the virtual images, PSIs and PSFs for the Webkinz White Tiger, Webkinz Mohawk Puppy and the Webkinz Charming Panda!

The White Tiger's PSI is the Jungle Cat Perch and its PSF is Roaring Steak Tartare. The Mohawk Puppy's PSI is the Rocking Wardrobe, while its PSF is Punksicles. Finally, the Charming Panda's PSI is the Bamboo Chute Swing and its PSF is Bamboo Biscuits!

We have been hearing from many Adventure Park players regarding the inclusion of the Whimsy Skies game in one of the new Adventure Park Daily Quests.  As many of you know, Whimsy Skies is a game that is exclusive to Deluxe accounts.  There was confusion as to why Ganz would include this game in a challenge that is open to non-Deluxe players.  Today Webkinz Insider has received exclusive word from the Creative Director of Webkinz regarding this issue.

 

It turns out that, during the quest, even non-Deluxe players can click on the game link and be taken to the Whimsy Skies game.  However, the Creative Director went on to say, "as not everyone can access the game at any time, we will be changing that Daily Quest to use Tile Towers instead."  There is no word yet on when this change will take place, but we now know that even the current quest is "winnable" by both Deluxe and non-Deluxe players.

Thanks to Robert from Ameriwade for alerting us to the following news about December's 2011 Webkinz plush release from Ganz. Although Webkinz Newz announced a Webkinz Signature Arctic Fox and a Webkinz Darling Dino were both being released in December, this is not the case!

 

 

According to the Ganz/Webkinz retailer's site, and according to Ameriwade's Ganz Retail Representative, there will be no signature Webkinz for December 2011 and the Darling Dino is instead replaced by a Webkinz Sifaka Lemur. We're not sure what wires got crossed between the actual available Webkinz and those reported by Webkinz Newz; however, we can assure you that, even though the Signature Arctic Fox and Darling Dino may not be December 2011 plush releases, we will see them sometime in the future!

 

We promised you that as soon as new information was released about the Tropical Island Pup that we would bring it to you, but we had no idea that we would have news so quickly!  Moments ago the Webkinz Creative Director contacted Webkinz Insider with this exclusive picture and information.

We know many of you have been wondering what is going on with the release of the October Webkinz.  As you may remember, Ganz originally said the Papillon Dog and Billy Goat would be in the batch, but then that changed to the Pink Punch Cheeky Dog and Springbok.  Now we are getting reports from our members that all four pets are available for purchase in stores.

 

Robert, from our partner store, Ameriwade, has been working to get answers.  On Friday, his sales rep told him that the Papillon Dog and Billy Goat were not scheduled for October release.  Since we already have reports here on Webkinz Insider of members adopting the pets, he kept digging.  On Monday, he got a statement from Ganz that said the Papillon Dog and Billy Goat are "exclusive" pets to a particular store, but Ganz wouldn't tell him which store.  Unfortunately, that appears to be the only information Ganz is willing to release at this point.

 

In the past, Ganz has made a handful of pets "exclusive" to Hallmark, Justice, Cracker Barrel, and Palmer Marketing Group.  The large chains get exclusive rights to sell the pets for several months before smaller boutiques are given the option to order them.  As of now, we don't know which store has the "exclusive" for these pets, or when the pets may be available to all stores.

 

UPDATE:  According to reports from our members, the Billy Goat and the Papillon Dog are both being sold at Justice, Carlton Cards, and the Chapters/Indigo/Coles family of book stores.  Also, the Billy Goat is being sold at Hallmark.
