Cherry Soda Pup Retires on Dec 8!

Do you have the Cherry Soda Pup on your Webkinz World account? if so, your pet is the next to retire and you will be able to take part in the Retirement Party festivities next weekend!

Webkinz Insider members with Asian accounts are already seeing an announcement to this effect. The retirement weekend will be the Saturday December 7 and Sunday December 8, 2013.

A Retirement Party will be held on those dates, including a Count the Sailboats Game on the Saturday and some other special activity for owners of the Cherry Soda Pup on the Sunday. The Cherry Soda Pup is a regular-sized plush pet that was released in November 2010.

If you want to acquire this pet in time for the party, remember our partner store Ameriwade. A virtual-only version of this pet should also be available this week in the Ganz eStore

Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Hanukkah to our Webkinz Insider Members!

We at Webkinz Insider would like to wish a Happy American Thanksgiving and a Happy Hanukkah to our members.

It is not very often that both Thanksgiving and the first day of Hanukkah overlap. The last time was in 1918, although in Texas it also happened in 1945 and 1956. To help you celebrate these two holidays, there is a Thanksgiving Basket in your dock and a card in your KinzPost. If you have menorahs in your Webkinz World account, you will notice that they become animated during the eight days of Hanukkah. Today is the first day of Hanukkah and two candles are lit. Every day, you will find that an additional candle has been lit. The middle candle is always lit, but is not included in the count.

Thanksgiving Gift Baskets Arrive in Webkinz World!

Virtual Images for the Gingerbread Puppy!

Webkinz Newz is giving us a sneak peek at the Gingerbread Puppy! This will be a virtual-only pet, the seasonal offering for the Christmas season 2013. It is not yet known how or when this pet will be available, but the Ganz eStore is a strong possibility.

Here you can see the Gingerbread's online avatar, the Gift Box, the PSI and PSF. The Pet Specific Item is the Gingerbread Bed, and the Pet Special Food is the Gingersnap Pie.

Our Webkinz Insider members will remember that there used to be a Sweets N Treats room Theme, which was a pretty good match for this new pet. Hopefully you have already acquired these items, which you can see in our WIKI; you can still buy them from Arte in the Curio Shop. The Sweets N Treats theme was introduced to the W Shop in February 2007 and was suddenly retired to the Curio Shop in May 2013.

UPDATE: We now know that this adorable Gingerbread Puppy will be arriving in the eStore on December 7th. Not only that but starting on December 11th you can expect to see the Gingerbread Puppy on your Kinzville Map in Webkinz World. Click on him and you will be awarded Kinzcash!

Webkinz Insider members with Asian accounts are already seeing an announcement, on login to their Webkinz World accounts, that the Pretty Panda will be the next pet to retire. The retirement weekend will be the Saturday November 30 and Sunday December 1st, 2013.

A Retirement Party will be held on those dates, including a Count the Sailboats Game on the Saturday and some other special activity for owners of the Pretty Panda on the Sunday. The Pretty Panda is a regular-sized plush pet that was released in July 2010.

The Stylish City Dress was a Webkinz Newz prize for the Jessie TV Show promotion back in 2011.

Christmas Carol Theme Returns to W Shop!

With Wednesday's maintenance, the Halloween items have left the Webkinz W Shop, and the Christmas Carol Theme has returned!

In addition to quite a few repeats from previous years, we have four new items seen here from left to right: Town Square Music Stand, Festive Winter Sapling, Elegant Menorah, and one Deluxe-only item, the Christmas Caroler Gazebo.

It's interesting to note that the Town Square Music Stand and the Festive Winter Sapling will go in all four types of rooms: Indoors, Outdoors, Treetop and Underwater. The Elegant Menorah will go only in Indoor rooms; it is an animated item and the candles should begin to light up, one per day, starting on November 27.

The holiday items are usually added in two installments, so watch for more additions on the next maintenance Wednesday. Happy shopping!

Webkinz Shar Pei Retires on November 24!

Webkinz Insider members with Asian accounts are already seeing this announcement on login to their Webkinz World accounts. The Shar Pei will be the next pet to retire. The weekend in question, is the Saturday November 23 and Sunday November 24, 2013.

A Retirement Party will be held on those dates, including a Count the Sailboats Game on the Saturday and a spin on the Wheel of WIshes for owners of the Shar Pei on the Sunday. The Shar Pei is a regular-sized plush pet released in March 2010.

Superbeds are exclusive items that come in gift boxes awarded on your tenth adoption in Webkinz World and every fifth adoption thereafte.
