The Holland Lop Bunny  is the next Webkinz pet to retire!

 

The Holland Lop Bunny is a regular-sized plush pet that was released in January 2012. Do not confuse it with the Signature Lop Bunny from Feb 2011. There are many other bunnies and rabbits which you can see in our Pet Collection by clicking HERE.

The retirement weekend will be the Saturday December 21 and Sunday December 22, 2013.

A Retirement Party will be held on those dates, including a Count the Sailboats Game on the Saturday. The special activity for owners of the Holland Lop Bunny on the Sunday will be a FREE Festive Sweater. (this is from last year's Christmas Countdown in the Clubhouse)
 

 

Our Webkinz Insider members who are fans of sock pets and sock puppets will be thrilled with this new addition to the Webkinz World roster, coming in January (?) 2014! While Webkinz Newz is announcing it for January, this is much more likely to be a February pet. At any rate, here is the Knit Sock Monkey, and this will be a real, plush pet. The only other sock pet so far, has been the Sock Monkey, a virtual pet from the Ganz eStore, introduced back in January 2010. Do not confuse the two! despite their similar avatars, these are two different pets.

 

 

Here we can show  you, courtesy of Webkinz Newz, the in-game avatar of the Knit Sock Monkey, his adoption Gift Box, his Pet Specific item and Pet Special Food. The PSI is a clothing box containing the Knitted Hat, Sweater and Socks . The PSF is called the Banana Ice Pop.

Congratulations to Webkinz Insider member weedpatchfarm on being the first to adopt the virtual Gingerbread Puppy! This pet is currently available for 12,500 points in the Ganz eStore.

 

This sweet pet's name is Molasses, and her nickname is Lassie. Here she is with her Pet Specific Item, the Gingerbread Bed. Her Pet Special Food is the Gingersnap Pie.

 

 

Congratulations to Webkinz Insider member lazygal for being the first to adopt the Donut Pup! This is a regular-size plush pet being released for December 2013. Her sweet name is Dunkin! Lazygal tells us that the PSI, the Cup of Cocoa Tub seen above, functions as a bathtub. The Donut Pup's PSF is the Donut Sandwich, seen here in an inset.

It's now December and Christmas preparations are in full swing, starting with the Candy Cane Collection. If you liked the previous collection events where you have to ask your friends for various items, you will like this one. As shown above, click on the Candy Cane icon in the lower right-hand corner of your Webkinz room to get started. Every day you can ask 10 friends for candy canes, although only the first 5 will count. You get an extra one each day, just for logging in and clicking on the icon. There are also extra candy canes to be had on Webkinz Newz or if you have a Deluxe account.
