Webkinz Pets hint New Game Coming Soon

We have been seeing numerous reports from many of our members regarding Pet Requests. The most recent report came from WI Member Queen Of Sheba that her pet wished to play a game in the arcade called Grand Grotto. Now that Webkinz Newz has revealed that this is an upcoming game that will be playable across all three venues ( Desktop, Mobile and Web Version) We can bring you some more news about it. This will be a puzzle game with 50 levels that you unlock. The first time you complete the 50 Levels you will be awarded a Grand Grotto Trophy. We will update as soon as we have more information.

There is a new community challenge in Webkinz World.

 
We need to work together from July 15 until July 19th to win great prizes. If we reach the goal each day you can visit Webkinz Newz the following day after 9:30 am to receive a community code that you can enter at the code shop.

PJ Collie's New Clothing recipes revealed

Since last maintenance, Pollie Jean has introduced her new Summer Clothing line. Along with the new clothing they also revealed that there would be two new recipes using the new clothing, only, for combinations to make unique clothing pieces. We are fortunate enough to have diligent recipe crafters, here and they have found the recipes for these two new spectacular items! The two new combinations are the Citrus Strappy Sundress and the Short Sleeve Hoodie. For one of the combinations you will need a piece of Deluxe clothing, the other is made using regular player clothing. The Citrus Strappy sundress requires Neon Green Board Shorts (220 KC) Neon Yellow Visor (250 KC) and the Hot Pink Cargo Pants (Deluxe 355 KC) The Short Sleeve Hoodie is made from Neon Green Sunglasses (200 KC) Neon Pink and Orange Swim Dress (355 KC) and the Neon Yellow Slides (190 KC) Currently, you cannot send the finished combination. We will let you know if this changes.

Wow, that was a little scary . . . okay, a lot scary but we have our beloved Webkinz Insider back. And for the first time in a long time a new front page story.
 
Do not get too excited, it is still a work in progress, but it is looking very positive.
 
 

Webkinz Announces New App: MEERKINZ

  Earlier this week, Webkinz Newz announced via Twitter a new app titled 'MEERKINZ' which will be launched for Android, Windows, and iOS devices in May 2015.    This app is the first in a new series of Webkinz Media apps which will allow users "to interact with their pets in new and exciting ways."  Thanks to the new technology available through the live-streaming app Meerkat, Webkinz Users will be able to explore new features in Webkinz World without the need of a computer.
 
 
According to the press release, Webkinz World is a very active environment, even when users are not logged in and participating: "What users don't realize, is that outside of the time they play in Webkinz World, their pets are very active -- and enjoy visiting their friends around Webkinz World."   Once installed, MEERKINZ connects with your Webkinz World account to enable live-streaming video of your pets daily activity.  You can check in throughout the day, and see what mischief your pets are causing as well:  "We didn't want to tell our users about this secret world of webkinz.  Many users have reported over the years disappearing items, redecorated rooms, and pets in new outfits.  This was all done by the Webkinz while the user is offline. It is not uncommon for pets to trade items among each other."

December Retirement is the Webkinz Husky

Webkinz is continuing its new monthly retirement celebrations with the retirement of the Webkinz Husky.  Husky owners will be able to participate in weekly activities, including the counting sailboats game to earn special items.  For a list of retired, current, or seasonal webkinz pets be sure to visit our WIki.
 
If you are a Webkinz Husky owner, or plan on adopting a Husky this month, be sure to log into Webkinz world on December 28th to claim your exclusive Retirement Gift Box with additional prizes.

A special thank you to WebkinzInsider member dancerchick914 for letting us know the Webkinz Recipe BooTooYoo has been solved.  While she can't take credit for solving it, she was the first time point out that an article on the Webkinz Facebook feed contained the ingredients.
 
You can make your own BooTooYou using a Super Stove in the Clubhouse to combine Ophidian Callaloo, Rice Pudding, and a Serpentash Squash.  
 

October Pet Of The Month (2014): Rockabilly Rooster

Webkinz Newz recently announced that this October's Pet Of The Month will be the Rockabilliy Rooster.  Like previous months the Rockabilly Rooster can be purchased in a plush version, or through as a virtual only pet through the Ganz eStore.  
 
 
 
If you adopt this rocking pet during the month of October, you will receive an exclusive POTM exclusive item to add to your collection.  All owners of Rockabilly Roosters will also be able to participate in exclusive activities and events throughout the month.

Webkinz Introduces New Free Account Promotion

Webkinz has recently updated their Free Account program for new webkinz users. Previously, any user who opened a new free account could adopt the Webkinz Mutt or Domestic Cat. With this new update any user who opens a brand new Webkinz account will be able to select one of nine eStore pets to adopt. The nine eStore pets include: The Pink Zebra, Ice Fawn, Leonberger, Afghan Hound, Floppy Eared Bunny, Marshmallow Chipmunk, Sun Fox, Wolf, and Cotton Top Tamarin.  
 
Members may be interested to know that previously Pink Zebra has only been availble through an eStore promotion. Furthermore, the Ice Fawn is a seasonal winter pet and only available once a year (providing it is released by the eStore).  The Leonberger, Afghan Hound, Floppy Eared Bunny, Marshmallow Chipmunk, Sun Fox, Wolf, and Cotton Top Tamerin are all virtual pets and available to purchase by members exclusively through the eStore (note that some may not be currently available as the pet selection rotates through the year).
 
New users who create Free Accounts are limited in their participation throughout Webkinz World. These accounts are unable to access Kinzpost, the trading room, the items they can purchase, how many rooms they can create, and more.  Members can remove these limitations through the purchase and adoption of any other Webkinz pet, or the purchase of a deluxe membership through the eStore.
