Time Running Out for Hamster Halloween Maze, Trophy, and Room

If you haven't yet played the Halloween Hunt maze set in the Mazin' Hamster feature, won your Halloween Hunt Trophy, or built/purchased a Halloween Room on your account, time is running out.  Halloween disappeared from the rest of Webkinz World on Monday, and it is going to be leaving the Hamster area on Thursday, November 4.  Just like with other seasonal Webkinz items, there is no way to predict if/when these items will return.

July Events in Webkinz World

It's nearly the first of the month in Webkinz World, and a new month means new activities:
 
  • Pet of the Month Ribbons - On the 1st and 15th of every month, floating Pet of the Month Ribbons come to Webkinz World.  Click on a blue ribbon to get a chocolate version to feed to your pet.  (NOTE:  Many of you have been asking when the Caring Valley leaves we saw in January are going to return.  At this point, we don't have any information.)
  • Pet of the Month - It's a new month, and there's a new Pet of the Month. Players who have Webkinz Bengal Tigers on their accounts will be able to participate in special POTM activities.  Players who adopt new Bengal Tigers during the month of July will also get a special POTM Loot Bag.
  • Caring Valley Tree - Players entering the feature code off of a green Caring Valley tag and planting the required number of saplings during the month of July will receive a Summer Sumac Tree to customize and place in their Webkinz' yard.
  • Zodiac Pet - The next eStore Zodiac Pet is  the Leo Lion.  Keep an eye out for this new pet to appear in the Ganz eStore sometime in July.
  • Deluxe Membership - Those of you who have signed up for a Deluxe Membership (not including the $2-monthly version) will receive a new Deluxe Gift Box in July containing a special clothing item.  We're betting your pets are going to look stylish in the new Pop Star Dresses.
  • Canada Day and Independence Day - July is a very special month for both Canada and the USA.  Keep an eye on the Ganz eStore for some special celebration items to be listed for sale.
  • Mazin' Hamsters - The Mazin' Hamster feature is set to debut in Webkinz World on July 1st.  If you've picked up one of these fuzzy critterz for your account, you may want to wait until Thursday to enter the feature code.  It appears that the "Things to Do" menu option won't be in place until then.
  • Wacky Zingoz Celebration - Although we don't have any confirmation yet, July is traditionally the month when the Wacky Zingoz Celebration happens in Webkinz World.  For more information the event, check out the Webkinz Insider WIki, HERE.

Member of the Day Trophy Update

webkinz cheats Ganz tweeted that they have fixed the issue with the Member of the Day award, to ensure that future Member of the Day trophies should be awarded to active Webkinz World players.  The fix is expected to be in 3 weeks (end of May).

Member of the Day Trophy is a randomly awarded trophy once a day for Webkinz World players who have set up their "MyPages" on their Webkinz World account.

Unsolved Tusslepuff Recipe is now One Year Old!

webkinz cheatsThank you to our resident recipe-solvers for pointing out that the Webkinz recipe Tusslepuff still hasn't been solved.  As some of you will remember, Tusslepuff was added to Webkinz World back on April 16th, 2009.  Although many of our members have been hard at work trying different food combinations, none have been successful yet.
 
In an interesting twist to the Tusslepuff story, back on October 1st, 2009, Ganz ran a story on the Webkinz Newz site indicating that "CAP with Pacey" had solved the recipe and been awarded a Chef Trophy.  Even after six months, the food "CAP" combined is still a mystery.  If you'd like to work on solving the Tusslepuff recipe, please visit the Tusslepuff thread in the Recipe section of our forum, HERE.  Good luck Chefs!

Creative Director Reveals Truth about Bowling Trophy

webkinz cheatsWhen the Creative Director of Webkinz was reviewing the questions for the recent Ask the Creative Director contest, he came across one question in particular that he thought was strange.  It was a question about "10 Bowling Trophies being awarded back in 2005."
 
In an exclusive message sent to Webkinz Insider, the Creative Director revealed that the reason he thought this question was strange was because Ganz has "never released the bowling trophy.  It doesn't exist on any Webkinz [player's] account."  He also said that "the only place the bowling trophy exists is in the Bowling Alley clubhouse room."
 
At this point, we are not certain how this rumor about the Bowling Trophies being awarded as prizes got started, but we are pleased the Creative Director took the time to contact Webkinz Insider to clear things up.  He also let us know that the KinzPinz Bowling Alley made its debut in 2006, not 2005, and that there had been plans to release a bowling trophy at some point, "but that the idea fell through."
