As the final follow-up to our "Holiday Webkinz announcements", we have confirmed Ganz's offerings for Valentine's Day 2009. The Webkinz Love Frog will make its return in 2009, along with the Webkinz Love Monkey, as previously reported. In addition to these two Webkinz, a KinzStyle heart shirt will be added to the line!
Some related news to our Halloween 2008 story is Ganz's announcement of their Holiday 2008 Webkinz and accessories. As previously reported, the 2008 Holiday Webkinz is to be the Webkinz Snowman! The Webkinz Reindeer will be re-introduced this holiday season, as well.
Also being offered this Holiday season is a KinzStyle Elf Suit and Santa Suit and a Webkinz Holiday purse!
Finally, one of the biggest surprises that we found was that Ganz is planning to offer Christmas ornaments, which are likely to be a new series of the Webkinz figurines that we've already seen. There are to be 24 ornaments to complete the set!
As reported previously, the Webkinz Bat is Ganz's new Webkinz for Halloween 2008! This is the first confirmed flying Webkinz to enter Webkinz World and has us all very excited. There has always been rumors of a Webkinz Monarch Butterfly, but the Webkinz Bat is the first flying Webkinz that we can confirm!
In addition to the Webkinz Bat, the Black Cat will be making a come back in 2008 and a Kinzstyle Pumpkin Costume and Witch Costume will be added to the line as well! Stay tuned for Christmas and Valentine's Day info and pictures!
Over the past few months, many of our users have become increasingly worried about a section in the Webkinz user agreement that specifically mentions buying, selling and trading of Webkinz items. We have received direct communication from Ganz, stating their official position on trading of the virtual items. Here is their statement verbatim: There has been a lot of conversation lately about whether or not it’s okay to trade items in Webkinz World. Most of the confusion comes from the line in the User Agreement that says that items can not be “traded”.
Items CAN be traded in Webkinz World for other Webkinz online items. Items CANNOT be traded for real-world items or services.
“I’ll trade you a Mauna Loa Lamp for your Holiday Tubbie Tummies Bear” is A-OK.
“I’ll trade you a Mauna Loa Lamp for an Xbox 360” is NOT OK.
We will be releasing a Bulletinz and updating the User Agreement to make this distinction clear.
Again, we do not recommend trading through the KinzPost as it is not secure, but if you know the person well and want to do it, we have nothing against it. We are in testing of the secure trading system that I promised. It’s still a little ways away, but I think traders everywhere will be very happy once it’s released. read more »

It certainly looks like Arte has been having a rough couple of months. According to the Webkinz World Newspaper, there were no winners for the Scavenger Hunt in January. It seems like most of us were able to figure out that Crows took the items, but no one was able to figure out where they put them all. Poor Arte!
