BREAKING NEWS: Zingoz Celebration Arrives in Webkinz World

The Zingoz Celebration has begun! "It's time to get a little Wacky"! Zingoz Celebration will last from Thursday, July 17th through Wednesday, July 23rd. Thank you to our members with Asian Time Zone accounts for giving us a sneak peek at the festivities.

Floating Zingoz have been spotted in Webkinz World. Clicking on a Zingoz will win you the previously unseen Zingoz Plushie. Keep your eyes peeled and click quickly. Once Zingoz Celebration is over, these adorable animals could be gone for good. Congratulations to Cozmic and Roselake for being the first WI members to report clicking Zingoz.

UPDATE: We can now report that the Zingoz are flying on an Eleven Minute Schedule. What this means is that every eleven minutes you will have a chance at having a Zingoz fly across your screen. This same timing was observed during the Webkinz ExtravaGANZa with the Flying Pigs.

The Wacky Zingoz 600 Trophy which has been unavailable for over a year now has returned for the Celebration. To pick up a trophy, visit the Arcade and try your hand at Wacky Zingoz. If you can hit the Zingoz to a distance of 600 or more in one shot, you will be awarded the trophy. Congratulations to Dixiecup for being the first WI member to report winning the trophy.

BREAKING NEWS: Ganz Retires Webkinz Dalmation

Ganz has decided to retire the Webkinz (Large Size) Dalmation (HM123)! It can still be ordered by retailers at this point, so you should be able to pick them up in stores for some time, but once they are gone, that'll be it.

In addition, the Webkinz Striped Snake, which was announced to be retired in June site is now listed as "Sold Out" from Ganz. What this means is that many of your retailers will get an additional shipment of Striped Snakes in September if they decided to order extras when the retirement was announced, but there won't be any more after that!

BREAKING NEWS: Webkinz Seal coming to Webkinz Cares Program

Ganz is now expanding the Webkinz Cares program to include it's first full-sized Webkinz, the Webkinz Seal. Seals with the red wCares tags should start showing up at retailers in September. Until now, the wCares animals have been an exclusive of Walgreens which, as many of you know, does not have any stores located in Canada. The introduction of this red-tagged Seal means our Canadian members will finally have access to the wCares program.

BREAKING NEWS: Online Pets for Sale at the Webkinz eStore

For the first time ever, Ganz is selling online-only versions of select Webkinz at the Webkinz eStore. The sale of these animals is limited to people living outside of the United States and Canada. Customers purchasing these Webkinz will receive a code to enter into the adoption center, but will NOT receive a plushie pet.

The animals currently available are the White Poodle, Tree Frog, Bulldog, and Black & White Cat, all of which are available for sale at retailers both in the United States and Canada as a plushie with a code tag.

BREAKING NEWS: Webkinz Insider Member Wins Gold at Pro Pagent

Congratulations to cbjhockey, a member of our forum, on winning first place in the Stadium's Pro Beauty Pagent. Here is a picture of "Slapshot" posing with her new trophy.

Remember it's now well you perform in the KinzVille Academy that affects your score in the Stadium events. If you'd like a shot at winning a trophy, you've got to sent your Webkinz to school first.

NEWS: WI Members Mapping the Sky

Since the debut of Alyssa's Star Challenge last week, several Webkinz Insider members have been hard at work collecting data to "map the sky". Their goal is to come up with a system of predicting which constellations might contain certain stars. You may remember that it was WI members BERT_X and dogsdigholes who discovered the virtual charm pattern in the Charm Forest last year.

While we are not yet able to report on a location pattern, thanks to BERT_X, we can now tell you what the "base price" for each star is. This data will help you to know if Alyssa is offering you a good deal on your star or not:

** Each star group has one #1, one #2, one #3 and four #4 stars. **

Astro stars: 450 Lunamite, 200 Blushing Bulb, 250 Marrowmile,

then 75 for Chlorocosmo, Nightnote, Skyprint, and Twilight Twinkle.

Glow Flake stars: 400 Frost Flake, 200 Magmamite, 150 Deelight,

then 60 for Divinadime, Flouraflite, Moon Bloom, and Nocturnite.

Sun Sparks stars: 350 Webwonder, 150 Illustrolite, 100 Lightening Lantern,

then 50 for Enchantrite, Pyro Pearl, Spectaculight, and Zinglow.

From a star's base price Alyssa might offer these percentages:

150%, 135%, 120%, 100%, 95%, 90%, 80%, 75%, 70%, 60%, 50%, 25%, 10%.
