As many of you have already discovered, Ganz has made some changes to how the leaves fly in Fall Fest this year. The good news is, once you learn the pattern, they become much easier to catch!

In previous years, the leaves have always drifted across the screen from left to right. This year, they can come from any direction, but they will only come from one direction each time you log on. For example, the first time you log on, they may all come from the right. Then, the next time you log on, they may all come from the left. So, if you don't like the direction they are coming from, especially if you are trying to watch multple accounts at once, just log out and log back in again to switch the side.

The timing of the leaves is big news this year. So far, all of our members are reporting seeing the leaves on a 9 to 10 minute schedule. Prior to this year, whenever there was a schedule for a click-to-win event, it meant that there was a chance a player would see a leaf at that time. This year, the timing seems to be a guarantee. For example, if you see a leaf at 9:25, another leaf should appear at 9:34 or 9:35. Our members are hoping this timing will stay in place for the remainder of the event.

The one down-side to this year's event is that the leaves are flying much more quickly than they have before. If you're not ready to click when the leaf comes by, you might miss it, so keep a close eye on the clock. Also, you may have to click multiple times to catch the leaf. Players using the rapid click method, clicking as quickly as possible while tracking the leaf across the screen, seem to be getting the best results. This method will work everywhere except inside a Webkinz' house, where the Webkinz may decide to walk across the room.

I would be happy to share what has worked for me and hope it can help other members.

I remain on the "Contact Us" page of the Newspaper [nice white background to view an orange leaf bolting across the screen!]
I am playing a continual UTube video OR a t.v. news station in the background of my computer to slow down the leaf flying.

This morning; the leaves flying down the page for my account have netted me 2011 prizes, as compared to the leaves flying across the screen; netting me repeat prizes of last year. Do not have any idea if that is a coincidence of perhaps something worth a try - (not to log off and switch the direction of the leaf flying . . .)

One more piece of info for this year: you only get a total of 15 items per account per day.

Once you have successfully clicked on 15 leaves, they stop flying on that account for the rest of the day..

Gives everyone a bit of a rest!

.... the new precise scheduling is wonderful! .. but many of us cannot click on the leaves .. no matter what I have tried, various browsers, opening more windows, etc, I am not able to get one leaf to give it up for me!

I am fairly resigned to the fact that there may not be a Fall Fest for me this year .. but if anyone has any tips on how to actually click on these awesome leaves I see .. please!

.. I am willing to try anything this weekend before I have to head back to work on Monday!

The direction of the leaves has not corresponded to any type of prize over another for me. I have received a mix of things from both years on every account, regardless of leaf direction. I do get more of last year's than this year's, but last night it was the other way around on my Asian account, so I'm not too concerned about prize availability this year! ... :cbp:

In order to keep my pet from running across the room when I try to click on the leaves, I walk the pet to the wall, then "lock it in" with items placed around it that it won't try to sit on or drive.

I also read a tip to put my pets in front of the t.v., with the power on, but no program selected, and this seemed to keep their happiness from dropping.

I seemed to have the best luck when I had my cursor in front of the leaf, in the direction it was traveling, rather than the back of the leaf. Some leaves it didn't seem to matter what I did.

I am so sorry you are experiencing difficulty with the clicks BF! We have to work on a way for you (and everyone) to be able to click and win. I am sure you have done all of these, but may I list them anyway:

Have you tried the "double click" method that others have reported? Double click the leaf as it flies
Have you tried the corner click method? Your eyeballs have to really be glued to figure the precision of that one (I am wearing trifocals . . . )
Maybe try opening TWO background windows to slow them down? [I use that for Academy Agility class and it is like slow motion for me.]

I am sorry to hear your report, but maybe try one/all of the above a second time or even a later this afternoon time?

I thought perhaps if I stood on my head and clicked with my left hand, while whistling "Turkey in the Straw", I might get it to work! .. but after I fell flat on my face, I realized that my centre of gravity may have changed slightly over the last 20-30+ yrs..

..ok .. off to try again .. I will keep checking back here for any breaking newz and tips!

I don't know if this will keep holding true, but I just started playing and my first two accounts sent the leaves from left to right. They seemed to be easier to catch than the ones I played last night that all went top to bottom or right to left. (I wonder if it is because we have so much experience left to right from the other click to wins, or because our brains are used to processing info left to right because of how written english works). My third account is going right to left, and it seemed easier to catch than the ones last night. I hope it is not a fluke, and that everyone gets tons of leaves!

In past floaty-clicky events, if I am in my house, as soon as I see the floaty thing I quickly click on 'EDIT' and then can click on the item without dealing with a wandering pet.

I am on round two on Asian..seems more like 10 mins than Nine..but that is ok too..easier to count...LOL

Those leaves are fast - and they are tricky!

What seems to work for me is not to chase the leaf, but to move my cursor to the general area where the leaf is headed then try to catch the leaf from there.

I'm content already because I finally got a fall globe which is what I really, really wanted.
