Trader Information: Fruity Punch Pool is NOT a Pool *UPDATE*

webkinz cheatsFor the past two months we have been getting scattered reports here on Webkinz Insider from members who have been tricked in the Clubhouse by players trading the Fruity Punch Pool.  As most of you know, this item is not a pool at all, and it is not very valuable.  It is a decorative punch bowl that is a common prize, easily earned by watching a video on the Webkinz Newz.

Unfortunately, there are players out there in Webkinz World who take advantage of items like this to scam their fellow traders.  The best way players can protect themselves against tricks like this is to know what the items they're trading for are, and how much they are worth.  The fastest and easiest way to do this is to use the Webkinz Insider Gift Exchange Value Guide (WIGEV) as a reference.  Have the guide open in a second window while you are trading, and you'll never be scammed again.

UPDATE (June 8):  Ganz has corrected the name of this item!  It is now called "Fruity Punch Bowl".

Re: Trader Information: Fruity Punch Pool is NOT a Pool

This is GREAT advice. Even I have been told that the Fruity Punch Pool is a pool.
Thank goodness for and all of their up-to-date information through the WIGEV I knew this was not a pool Thank you FIA

Re: Trader Information: Fruity Punch Pool is NOT a Pool

It's sad to think that fellow WKW users would try to trick somebody with this item.

Re: Trader Information: Fruity Punch Pool is NOT a Pool

I've been tricked before but not for this item i got tricked a few months ago sometime last year i believe there are bad people put there in the world who would do this sadly

Re: Trader Information: Fruity Punch Pool is NOT a Pool

It should be called "Fruit Punch Bowl". I think Ganz meant "bowl" the whole time. Who would want to swim in Fruity Punch anyway?

Re: Trader Information: Fruity Punch Pool is NOT a Pool

Another trader problem is how older kids trick younger kids into trading rare items for cheaper items.

Re: Trader Information: Fruity Punch Pool is NOT a Pool

omg thank you for posting this!!! i have been wanting someone to do something (anything) about this scam for a long long time, someone tried to scam me with the Fruity Punch Pool a few days ago >

Re: Trader Information: Fruity Punch Pool is NOT a Pool

Re: Trader Information: Fruity Punch Pool is NOT a Pool

Re: Trader Information: Fruity Punch Pool is NOT a Pool

i cant believe people do things like this! Ive been tricked. when i first joined webkinz a person told me the 'rainbowray canape" was an item your pets could sit in and i traded it to find out it was food! I was so upset

Re: Trader Information: Fruity Punch Pool is NOT a Pool

Thanks for the heads up, even though I had that information.

Re: Trader Information: Fruity Punch Pool is NOT a Pool

I am so very sorry to hear that members would intentionally do this to other WW members. I don't understand why they would do such a thing just to get prizes. It's just so unfair.

Re: Trader Information: Fruity Punch Pool is NOT a Pool

Yes, I too don't understand why people would trick people, cuz I've even been tricked by a food back before I was a WI member. I also hope that they change the name from pool to bowl! So, that less people get tricked!

Re: Trader Information: Fruity Punch Pool is NOT a Pool

Its awful how Teenagers and adults trick little kids like this....thanks for the advice!

Re: Trader Information: Fruity Punch Pool is NOT a Pool

Thanks for the great advice FIA!
There are some real scammers in the trade house!

Re: Trader Information: Fruity Punch Pool is NOT a Pool

Thanx FIA for this important info.

I think it's disgusting that this scam is going on. Very sad but I guess there are BAD people in WW too. We should all be careful before we terade in WW.

Re: Trader Information: Fruity Punch Pool is NOT a Pool

I agree. It is so sad that people will lie and scam just to get a virtual item. I always keep the WIGEV open in a window so that I can do research when I am trading. It's quite sad that on a game where a lot of little kids play, you can rarely take people at their word. I always look up items for myself despite what people say about an item because I know there are too many people out there just looking to scam others. So I would encourage everyone to use the WIGEV. It has helped me on many occasions. Know what your own and other's items are worth. Also, beware of people who say they can only send, not trade. Too many people fall for this and then end up losing their items and getting nothing in return. Be safe, smart and, most of all, have fun!

Re: Trader Information: Fruity Punch Pool is NOT a Pool

Thank you for the info FIA.

Re: Trader Information: Fruity Punch Pool is NOT a Pool

I've been scammed . I was told it was a huge awesome pool, and I was so dumb I didn't even realize I was being scammed. There goes my plumpy glasses

Re: Trader Information: Fruity Punch Pool is NOT a Pool

This is wonderful information, and very good for those who have not heard before what this item is .

I have seen this scam before, though the most common I have seen is traders passing of Clothing Machine recipes for Kinzstyle, or rarer clothing items. I have also seen traders showing new Wshop themes and saying they are Exclusive, Rare, etc.

Re: Trader Information: Fruity Punch Pool is NOT a Pool

yea i don't think its fair when people try and trick other people into trading those items with really good items
