New Version of Flash Player Causes Problems in Webkinz World *UPDATE*

webkinz cheatsFor nearly two weeks now, we have been getting reports from our members of some very specific glitches affecting Webkinz World.  The most common report is that clicking "Back to Categories" in the wShop sends players to a black screen, forcing them to exit out of the shop.  We have been tracking all of the issues in the Glitch Report section of our forum, and it appears that they are all related to a recent update to Adobe Flash.  Players who remove the new version of Adobe Flash from their systems are reporting that the glitches are immediately fixed.
 
Unfortunately, uninstalling the NEW version of Flash can be a bit complicated.  Thankfully, Webkinz Insider member Sleeping Awake has written a fantastic guide that is easy to follow.  Just click HERE to visit her thread for complete instructions.  If you have been having problems with Webkinz World, it's a thread worth checking out.  NOTE:  Kids, please check with your parents BEFORE making any changes to the programs on your family computer.
 
UPDATE (Noon, Eastern Time):  Ganz has released the following statement, "Hi everyone! We are currently looking into an issue with the latest version of Flash, and how it's working within Webkinz World."
 
UPDATE (Aug 25, 12:15pm, ET):  Ganz has released the following statement, "There's a new version of Flash out today (10.3.183.7). If U R having issues with Webkinz World, we suggest upgrading to the latest version."

Hmm. I don't think I have had any problems with it. Although I don't even know if I have the latest Flash Player. xD
For me, Webkinz is running very slow on Google Chrome.
I switched to Firefox though, and it seems to be working quite well.

Sounds complicated -- and I'm no tech geek that can adjust a computer. Isn't there someone important at Ganz (or wherever) that can contact the Flash Player people??
The Star Challenge and the kinzpost are really problems for me esp. on FF.

That's funny; I kept turning on my laptop and seeing that there was a new version of Adobe Flash Player to download, and I kept pressing "remind me later" because I didn't feel like waiting for it to install. Turns out it was a convenient decision!

When I click on Spree or Wackyer Zingoz, a blue screen with a black dot comes up where the game should be. It's really annoying because I can't use my Spree rolls and it's Zingoz week. How do I contact WI about this?

I so agree with you about Ganz not really being that helpful with fixing problems, of which, there are so many. I am so tired of being stuck and having to log out and back in again. I was doing great in the Wacky game and almost had the 11,500 points needed when it got stuck again and there was no way to finish the game and I had to log out again. I spend too much time logging in and out lately. I am tired of all the advertisements that have nothiing to do with WW popping up when playing in the Newz games. I am going to try to follow Sleeping Awakes instructions and hope this helps to stop all these problems. Thanks Sleeping Awake for you great instructions.

It somehow does not seem right that I should have to DOWNGRADE my flash player to avoid glithches in webkinz world of which there were already many even before I upgraded the flashplayer!

oh my gosh!! when i click back to categories webkinz completely freezes on me and loggs me out!!!!!!! so now when i buy stuff i have to exit and poen the w shop so much!!

This is the same problem with the mail that I had started a thread on and Ganz said they didnt know what the problem was and hadnt had any complaints I hope they fix it. I have to send mail to one acct
go to the map
then go back to send another mail etc...very annoying

I don't even have the newest version of Adobe Flash anyway - Just...MMmmmm...Second Newest I think. I only get the new versions of Flash if I need to to play on Webkinz.

Oh, Silly, Silly Wshop. Getting people to use you more often isn't by making yourself glitch and forcing them to exit you. xD

I know. The Titanic was so sad. But the orchestra hid their problems. At least tried to. Everyone on the ship knew. And Ganz hides their problems. At least tried to. Everyone on WI knew. And still knows, for that matter.
