Ganz Officially Confirms Webkinz Silk Sparrow is a "Prize Pet"

Back in August 2010, Ganz announced in the Kinzville Times that a new pet, the Webkinz Silk Sparrow, would be coming to the Ganz eStore soon.  As months passed, and the Sparrow didn't show up for sale, many players wondered what had become of this "special pet".  Then, in December 2010, Ganz began awarding Silk Sparrows as prizes for contests.  
 
Today Ganz has confirmed that the Silk Sparrow is a "prize pet".  It appears that this Webkinz will not be coming to the Ganz eStore after all. If you would like to add a Webkinz Silk Sparrow to your family, keep an eye out for contest announcements from Ganz.

Awe! Its gonna be hard to get a silk sparrow in contests now.... i wish it was in the estore, but thats what makes it a really rare pet!

I'm not usually a big fan of bird webkinz, but this is really cute! Especially because it's.. PURPLE!!
I wonder what kind of contests will have to be done to win this. I don't know why but I'm not really familiar with "prize pets"..

Oh fun! My daughter won one in the Chef Gazpacho contest and didn't discover it til a month later! Now she still has to pick out a name for it. lol

Its another one of my favorite pets now! Its purple, shiny and adorable!! I just wish it was easier to get it than said
